45 Jul 20 Reply I think you are right. David's edits are spot on. As for the heron, he likes his photo taken! Jul 6th
45 Jul 20 Comment Really like the globes in this photo. They are so sharp and stand out nicely from the background. The pipe and book are good additions. I think that the shell works here (as you darkened it) and I notice there is a nice shell reflection in the wood. Well-composed. Great job! Jul 6th
45 Jul 20 Reply Don, so funny that a heron is waiting for a handout in your neighborhood. I was quite close to the heron in my photo. He was not afraid of people. Jul 6th
45 Jul 20 Reply Thanks for the suggestions, David. After seeing your crop of the scene, I have to agree that including more of the rocks on the left is a good idea. I also agree that the front rocks were too bright. I did tone them down some but it needed more. Jul 6th
45 Jul 20 Comment Such a good capture of the baby bird's mouth wide open to catch the insect offered by the mother. The focus on the baby's mouth is good but I would like to see more clarity on the mother. You should lighten the area around the eye of the mom and increase clarity on body. Great capture. I like the composition. Jul 6th
45 Jul 20 Comment Amazing close-up of the dragonfly. Such clarity on the head of the insect. I like the colors, too. I was interested that you used Topaz Gigapixel AI to fill in the pixels. I have never used that but it looks like it is very useful in this situation. Jul 6th
45 Jul 20 Comment Such an interesting location for photography! I like the shapes and the reflections in the water. Cloning out the power lines was a big job but it made a big improvement. The composition is good. I like the idea of cropping on the left and bottom slightly and adjust the exposure on the structure down a bit. Jul 6th
45 Jul 20 Comment You did well to get the shot so fast. I would agree that the tall weed on the left should be either cloned out or cropped in PS and maybe add a dark vignette. Composition with the deer off center of the frame is good. Good capture! Jul 6th
