Charlie,
The sun is harsh on the horses. Before this time the horses were in the shade of the trees and it was difficult to get a good view. I could probably have used 200mm or near that for filling the frame, yes. I'll think of that next time. Thanks for your comments! |

Ray,
Thanks for you comments! I think the horses were doing all of the above. They seemed to look for every opportunity to 'horse around.' |

Hi Sharon, Good to hear from you! Glad to know that you are on PSA as well. I checked out your work too. These two horses belong to the Salt River Wild Horses in Arizona. Not sure how many of them here but its a large group. It's wonderful to be able to photograph them in the wild. |

This is such a peaceful image and one that is so familiar of an outdoor scene with snow. The sky is the important part of the story and the light reflected on the snow. I think it is a good photo of the scene. I would like to know how the scene looked after the sun rose because there might have been more color reflected in the snow in the foreground from the sun, giving the foreground some interesting light. |

This is a wonderful night scene of a city park. The lights with the starburst add to the scene. The curved bridge is the highlight of the photo. Good description of how you took the photo and what software you used to get the result! Great job! |

I agree with the cropping suggestion. And I also agree to cloning out the poop. Did not think of that! |

Cindy,
Thanks for your comments. I agree with you and the others that cropping the image works much better. And placing the horses off-center. |

I like your composition of the radishes with their white roots and the green leaves. You have a good pattern in the lower half of the photo of the red radishes and that is balanced by the green leaves above with a splash of red radishes in the top left. I like it the way it is. |

Good capture of the flying heron! Plus, he is not just flying, he is busy carrying the branch for the nest. It does tell a story. You were able to capture the bird in flight with good focus on the body and his feet ed from the lift off. The only drawback is that the head looks over exposed. I like how you cropped out the green plants in the front and you still have room in front of the bird. You could clone out that one branch that touches his body on the left. Good capture! |

This image is very well done. I like how you enhanced all the texture in the image: the flooring, the rust on the metal, bringing out the blue color on the left and the details as you look down the hall. I wonder what it would be like to leave in more of the wall on the left. I guess I would like more of the left wall angles (dark floor board on bottom and white board near top angles) that you show in the original. It gives the image a little more symmetry. Great job on the image. |

What an original thing to photograph! I had never seen it before. At first, I did not look at the image to see what abstract realities I could see but now I can see see a duck with a yellow bill and a white cap. The original looks more like a person with his arms bent and his hands out front. I like the clarity of the lines. Secondly, I like the colorizing that you did using multiple colors. I think it makes a terrific abstract image. Well done! |
