Thanks, David. I darkened the shadows in the photo, mainly on the mountain wall. Do you think it is an improvement? |

Charlie,
I didn't take any a few steps to the right. But this image has a different vantage point. Gives you an idea of what was up there. |

Ray, the clear band of sky above the horizon was just that way. I did not adjust it.

Bai, I just noticed a spot and I do think it is dust on the lens. It is so faint I missed it. Thanks for pointing it out. |

Not only does the image capture your attention because of the bright colors but is is very sharp overall. You captured the building with the fireworks in the left side of the frame. The lights are not blown out. Well done! |

This is a stunning photo. I love the motion captured in the way the horses are leaning forward and the jockey's have their heads down. The colors are bright and eye-catching. The cloudy sky is a good backdrop. Trying shutter priority was a good idea!! |

I really like the way that you changed the image into a simple contrast of black and white. I would have cleaned up a few more distractions like the angled lines in the forefront of the photo. |

Interesting landscape shots! I love the lovely early morning light but I would crop in closer on the light patterns on the snow bank. Also, image #2 is very good also. It has more interest in both the sky and the angle of the snow drifts. |

Photographing the chess board in light that accentuates the shadows of the chess pieces is creative. I like the dark shadows and the light on the chess pieces. I agree that the blown out area is distracting. But I would suggest that if you ever recreate the scene, you make sure that the distinguishing marks on each of the pieces shows up in the shadow, such ads the cross on the top of the king, etc. |

This is a stunning image! The subject's body is posed perfectly. The light on her face is good but her face is not the strongest part of the image; it's the curve of her body and the strong legs on toe shoes. The work that you did on the background paid off because it looks like she is on a blue cloud. Well done! |
