Hi Martin, This is another image from deep inside that mysterious head of yours! You never cease to amaze me at what you produce. As Shirley said, this is an interesting image that makes you think. |

Hi Janice, try getting them to wear something long sleeved and black, preferably with black gloves as well. They need to keep moving with the sparklers/s. The circle will need to be bigger than their head. The long exposure should negate the moving arm so that you don't see it. The other option is to get someone in dark clothing to stand to the side and move the sparkler around the face. Remember not to get too close cause those flying sparks will hurt! |

Hi Shari, this was a lot of fun and as it was done with toy light sabers it was safe too. I'm sure that you could cover the saber with different coloured cellophane for an interesting effect too. |

Hi Ling Ling, we had a lot of fun making the light pictures. My settings for this shot were: f/10; 25 seconds; ISO100. We were on a beach so there was not chance of fire. We used sparklers to outline a man wearing dark clothes. We used some steel wool stuffing inside a metal cooking whisk to make patterns too. This creates a lot of sparks so you need to be careful. |

Hi Ling Ling, Your bird is very small in the image. Is there any possibility of cropping in to remove some of the greenery? You are lucky to have a large colony so close to you where you can watch the chicks grow. Have you tried to take pictures of them flying? You will need a very fast shutter speed to freeze the motion. |

Hi Andrew, I find that the top part of the image helps us see the scale of the waterfalls. I do find my eye roaming between the closest two waterfalls and not being able to settle. |

Hi,
Your treatment of the image has worked well when you compare it to the original. Perhaps see if you could lighten the shadows at the back of the rose as I can see there are more flowers there. I wonder if making the flowers a little bit lighter would help them stand out against the wood. Makes you wonder why they were place there too. |

Hi Don, This is a lovely memory shot that brings your Mum back to you when you look at the photo. As the sweater on the right is in that colour, I don't mind the background colour on that side, but fix it if it annoys you. Not really sure that the background story comes across, but I don't know how you would achieve that. It may be there to those who knew your Mum and her habits. |

Hi Catherine, What a terrific image you have here! The angle that you have been able to shoot from has added a lot of extra interest too. Must admit that I have not seen a Gull chick before, but it is so well camouflaged in the grass that I probably would not have noticed it. |
