Hi Martin, this is a cracker shot. It is so hard to capture these bats and you have done well. Love the X feature. (Perhaps Elon Musk might use it as a new logo for his socials!) |

Thanks for your comments. I will play with the background as you all think it needs to be lighter. I'll also have a closer look at his back. |

Hi Andrew, It is very interesting to see this image as the blades are very different to the ones we have here is South Australia. (My engineer husband was also interested in your image.) I've included a photo from Wikipedia to show you what ours look like. Ours are straight and smaller at the base. They are huge when you get close to them. You have done well to produce this image. Maybe taken with the sun shining more from the left would add extra light to the blades. but what you are showing us has lots of detail. |

Hi Henry, Your new edit certainly has changed the photograph for the better. They eyes now seem to reach out and grab me. What is that whit bit on the top of the hat? Could it be cloned out? To me it is one of those "once you see it you can't unsee it" things. It's the only suggestion I can see. You have done well. |

Hi Janice, What a lovely shot of the little bird who thought it was hiding. Everything on the left of you photo is in focus, but unfortunately, the right is out of focus. I can't decide where I would crop, but I feel that some of the right side needs to go. This would then focus our eye more on the bird too. Well seen! |

Hi, I'm afraid that the large blurry area of white is the first thing I see when I look at this image. It would have been better to try using a smaller aperture to bring those background birds into better focus. The bank on the right is a lovely leading line to those birds. |
