Hi Catherine, I'm not really sure what you want us to look at The sky and the sand seem to fight for attention. Perhaps crop one or the other to make one of the subjects the obvious hero. Consider darkening the grass tuft too which would bring further interest to the image. |

Hi Janice. To me, your image evokes a feeling of softness. The colours in the image work well together. Yes, I would darken the stem in the bottom left. |

Hi Don, thank you so much for your comments. I went back and looked at the images and was surprised to see how light that wing was. Isn't it funny how you can process your own image and not see the glaring faults! I reprocessed the raw image taking your comments into account and I'm much happier with the result.
If you have a full frame camera you may be able to zoom in to the bird in post processing, but the quality may be questionable. The crop factor on other cameras will be different depending upon your sensor size.
Take your camera and practice "shooting" the birds. It is not as easy as you would think to get them actually doing something. You may not get anything usable, but you will get practice. It takes a lot of practice. Good Luck. |

Hi Andrew, I do like your crop vertically, but I would try leaving more room on the right and not having the building so centred in the image. The building itself is very interesting. The roof must have been a nightmare to build. |

Hi Henry. Well this is destined to live it's life on a wall! Great shot! I do feel that the crop is a little tight on the flowers though. I love the processing you have done. Have you thought about dropping the highlights on the leaves just a bit to focus the eye more to the petals? Great work! |

Hi Don, my first thought was that the image needed a very thin border to define the edge of the photograph. Looking at your printed mage I can now determine those borders. This is an interesting shot and one that we don't generally see as we wander through our daily lives. I don't mind the sky being a bit softer than the sharpness of the buildings. I quite like the contrast of it. The photograph certainly has an impact in the frame on the wall. |

Hi, I think you have done well with brightening the photo and I noticed that you changed the orientation from landscape to portrait, which I think was a good way to bring things closer to us. |
