Hi Catherine, What a magnificent beast! We don't have these owls in Australia. I do like the black and white version as it brings out the detail in the feathers. It looks to me that the camera has put the focus on the body and not on the eyes or face. I agree that Topaz may be able to sharpen the required areas a bit. The composition is great. |

Hi Lin, Usually we see shots like this with no boats and the jetty just going out into the water. I like your boat and fishermen. I do agree with the others that the image is on the dark side. As for the large pole, could you clone it out? I do find it quite a distraction and it sort of cuts off the right hand side of your image. |

Hi Jamie, I do like this image. I like the colours and would not crop out the mountains or the grass as they add contex. On PhotoShop under the Edit tab you can play with the perspectives and pull the top of the left side wall to the side to straighten it up a little. I am no sure how it would go with the grass, but it would be worth playing with it. |

Hi Don, I also like the second image better as we can see more. Have you considered dropping the highlights a bit to try to reduce that very bright triangle of water in the front of the image. It looks like a lovely place to go canoeing. |

Hi Henry, I'm sure the contestant would love the photos that you took. I don't find it distracting that we can't see the skater's face. I wonder what would happen if you lightened the shadows to try to bring in some detail in the dark areas. A great shot in trying conditions! |

Hi Andrew, I agree with the others that having the heads of people in the crowd chopped off is distracting. I think the sheep closest to us has his eye on the prize. |
