Hi Andrew, You are so lucky to live near this nature reserve. I would be spending lots of time there. This is a lovely image of a bird actually "doing something". It is very sharp! I wonder how you would feel about cropping the left hand side to remove the distraction in the water. This would have the advantage of taking the bird off centre too. |

Hi Don, As you know, I do like monochrome images, but in this case I think I like the coloured one better. It is a shame that you are not able to reclaim the dark areas, but the shadows there are interesting. I like the way you have the lines in the iron straight. I wonder if you could straighten the bottom window frame. There is a function in edit in photoshop where you can drag various parts of an image around to straighten them. |

Hi, I do like your composition. Taking photos of the moon is not an easy thing to do. I tried shooting this moon just as it was rising and there was a little more light in the sky, which helped as the moon was not so bright. I think you have a great photo of that full moon. I wonder if dropping the highlights in the trees might help the image a bit as my eye keeps going to the trees rather than the moon. |
