40 Aug 22 Comment Hi Andrew, You are so lucky to live near this nature reserve. I would be spending lots of time there. This is a lovely image of a bird actually "doing something". It is very sharp! I wonder how you would feel about cropping the left hand side to remove the distraction in the water. This would have the advantage of taking the bird off centre too. Aug 2nd
40 Aug 22 Comment Hi Don, As you know, I do like monochrome images, but in this case I think I like the coloured one better. It is a shame that you are not able to reclaim the dark areas, but the shadows there are interesting. I like the way you have the lines in the iron straight. I wonder if you could straighten the bottom window frame. There is a function in edit in photoshop where you can drag various parts of an image around to straighten them. Aug 2nd
40 Aug 22 Comment Hi, I do like your composition. Taking photos of the moon is not an easy thing to do. I tried shooting this moon just as it was rising and there was a little more light in the sky, which helped as the moon was not so bright. I think you have a great photo of that full moon. I wonder if dropping the highlights in the trees might help the image a bit as my eye keeps going to the trees rather than the moon. Aug 2nd
