40 Dec 21 Reply Hi Alison, I've had a bit of a play with the image in DeNoise. There are still a few areas that need a touch up, probably in PhotoShop. To me there is a difference between my image and yours, but not a lot. Dec 29th
40 Dec 21 Reply Thanks for the website Don. I'm on limited internet for the next week or so, but will have a good look around Kottke.com when we get home. Dec 29th
40 Dec 21 Reply Thanks Alison, you and Stephen have a good point about the spoon. Now that I look at the image, I agree that it is left sided heavy and the spoon does need to shift a bit. I will reconsider the position of the little men. Dec 29th
40 Dec 21 Reply Thanks Jamie. Glad you liked it. Dec 29th
40 Dec 21 Reply Thanks for your ideas Stephen. I had not thought of the sprinkles in the spoon. What a great idea. Dec 29th
40 Dec 21 Reply Thanks Andrew, I had not thought of the card idea. Dec 29th
40 Dec 21 Reply Thanks Catherine, Yes, the original was a bit blue. I wanted the spoon and men to stand out a bit in the image. Dec 29th
40 Dec 21 Reply Thanks Henry, I set this up on my kitchen bench, so hopefully no mice were involved! Dec 29th
40 Dec 21 Reply Thanks Don, The rest of the cookie packet was gone though and his is only 5 years old! Dec 29th
40 Dec 21 Comment Hi Henry,
I like the way you have captured the essence of the VanGough exhibition. If you wanted to, I think you could make a couple of portrait images, one with the couple on the left cropped to the boy's foot and the other just showing the boy. I do like the bright colours and I also like Alison's version.

40 Dec 21 Comment Hi Don,
I agree that the lines and the trash can need to go. If you keep the crop with the background in, I wonder if the curbing should be straightened as a false horizon. I do like the idea of a black background. This is an interesting sculpture and I do like the way you have brought out the texture with your processing.

40 Dec 21 Comment Hi Alison, This is such a different image to the ones we usually see. I think your rework is great. You've done a good job at removing the bubble on Mum's face. I like the fact that there is more fog on the top to add to the story. I wonder what putting the image through Topaz DeNoise would do in reducing the amount of noise in the image a bit. Looks like your Grandie had a great night! Dec 26th
40 Dec 21 Comment Hi Catherine, I love it! I like the feeling that the images portrays. I looked at it and thought, "Hmm. I would crop the bottom to just on top of the line that comes from the thinner brown reflection to the thick one, leaving a bit of space under the floating leaves." I then read the other comments to find that others are feeling the same way. I love the colours you have achieved. Dec 26th
40 Dec 21 Comment Hi Andrew, I do like this image. The gap in the ladder is great! I agree that the horizon is in the wrong place. I like the mood that this image evokes. Dec 26th
