Hi Martin, You have taken an ordinary photo and turned it into something special. I like the crop and the fact that you removed the person in the distance. The black certainly stands out against that firey sky! |

Hi Catherine, your image has lots to look at. I guess you wanted to highlight the saw and the wood. I would try darkening the table around them to make them stand out from the background. I like the way the light gently falls on the other bits and pieces in this image. From the other comments, you have plenty of things to play with! |

Hi Jamie, I like your image. I did not notice the white mountain as it sort of looked like another cloud. Have you thought about cropping this image to a portrait shape? This would then remove real estate from either side and really concentrate on the footprints. I do wonder where the people went! |

Hi Anne, Welcome to the frustrating world of birding! I do prefer the softness of the original colours. Unfortunately the post processing that you have done takes this image out of the nature category, but it makes a great Open image. I do prefer the flipped version. |

Hi Henry,
At first I thought the tree needed to stay to give a size comparison. These ships can be huge! However. After seeing the second crop that Alison has done, I have changed my mind. I'm wondering what a square crop (removing the top 1/4 of the sky would be like. |

Hi Andrew,
I agree that the second image is much better. My eye is led to the ships by the chains and the path. In the original, I think I would leave the yellow box, but desaturate it a bit so that it wasn't quite so bright. I would also lighten and brighten the ships to try to make them the focal point of the image. |

Hi Ruth, I think having the family in the foreground adds to this image. (Maybe crop out the light pole that is very close to the lady's head.) I love the sky and the reflections in the water. |
