Hi, Oh there are so many questions! What is it? Where did it come from? How old is it? Is it fragile? Great capture. Yes, I think it illustrates decay. I would try to darken the background a little to highlight the ball a little more. It looks like someone has taken a bite out of the moon. Well seen. |

Hi Alison. Creepy indeed! I also would like to see the shadows lightened to expose a little more detail. I find the sliver of sky on the left distracting. Is it possible to drop the highlights on the motor home a bit as that is competing with Santa. You certainly have captured a great story here. |

Hi Jamie, this lovely image certainly creates a feeling of loneliness. I wonder if a portrait presentation, including more of the foreground would create even more. Mon works really well for this image and the interest in the sand dunes complimented by the mountain horizon give plenty to look at. The haze doesn't bother me at all. Great shot! |

Wow Anne, you nailed this one! This image could easily have been taken in Australia and in fact I have several similar in my bank. Our old buildings aren't made of timber, but of stone mortared together. The stone is light in colour and poses a very interesting problem when we try to get this type of shot in one click. I love the way you were able to get everything so sharp! The textures and colours in the timber are great. |

Hi Henry, what a great shot! I wonder if you could clone in some ice over the top of the harbour to give a little more room at the top of the image. Have you tried running a contrast brush with low highlights over the ice to see if there is any hidden detail there? This seems like an action packed event. I'm sure there would have been many tumbles. Lucky for you, it was a "balmy" day when you took the photo! |

Hi Andrew, I also feel that I am missing more of the story. My eye starts the journey along the seat and is stopped abruptly. I feel that you have cropped too tightly. Some of the shadow tips have been cut off too. I would really like to see more of the cause of this magnificent shadow. It is a really interesting image. I don't mind the letterbox sizing of the image. |

Hi and thank you very much for your comments! I have reprocessed the sky and brought it back to what it actually was on the day, still keeping it a nature photo. I'm keen to hear your comments on this reworked image. |
