I am in awe that you were able to get this at 1/10 second handheld. Good for you. The textures and colors are stunning, and it's a beautiful image. |

I imagine it was wonderful to be able to experience the sunrise in such a peaceful place. The fog really draws my eye, and it's reflection in that calm water is stunning - and all set off so nicely by the gold vegetation. Beautiful composition. |

Stunning shot. I agree with Arabella on cropping it, and am also wondering if a slight vignette might put even more focus on the subject. I love the softness of the bokeh, and the reflection really puts this over the top. |

Very interesting composition - it flies in the face of the typical. You've captured an authentic moment, with the ship's smoke leading your eye to the flock of geese(?), and the lighthouse giving scale to the ship. It looks cold and the steel railings emphasizes that. |

Thanks, Arabella. I went back and forth on whether to lighten the trees and field - then it seemed like the focus should perhaps be on the lights. Not sure, still.... |

Thank you, Kathleen. Amazingly, it was about half a mile from my house in northern Minnesota. We live in the country, and the skies are quite dark here. |
