My eyes are drawn to the ships on the horizon, and the interesting rocks. I am wondering if the rocks and clouds were lightened a little, it might lift the photo and balance it some, without spoiling the wonderful moodiness of it. |

Nicely composed with the branches framing that lovely night sky. It is one of my goals to try and get a shot like that!
A couple suggestions might be to lighten the shrubs in front of your head to create more of a separation between you, and to lighten the blackness on the railings to clean them up a little.

This is lovely, and reminds me of a watercolor. I, too, was in Siena a couple of months ago, and it really feels like you captured the magic of it with this photo. Cropping it to be more centered was a good idea, although I personally feel that the top area should have remained the same. |

I feel that this picture is wonderfully composed. The path clearly leads you to the lake, with the delightful addition of a sailboat. What else will you see continuing down that path? The colors create kind of a cool, moody effect, perhaps rain is pending? It seems like some of the best pictures are the ones that make you wish you could go there - this one does that. |

To me, this is a very dynamic image, and it's easy to feel the fun that they are having. I love the effect that the water has - it looks very forceful, and intimidating! I would like to see the boy on the right cropped out as well, as long as it didn't impact the little girl's hair. The sun glints off of her shoulder, and adds to the impression of a warm summer day. |
