the one you see in the image is the Bled castle, the one you cannot see , but is towards the left of your screen is a Bled church which is on the small island, I have attached one image from my earlier visits to this place. its magical, and whenever I am in Slovenia , ljubljana I make it a point to visit Lake Bled atleast once.
This image I had submitted here earlier long back I dont remember exactly when, but it was before you were part of this group. |

Interesting image and work. I too havent seen many such images of ever thought about this genre, I would say your image has still managed to raise questions and interest in viewers mind , so your job is well done. you can only improve from here, beginning of a new technique or genre is very interesting and we enjoy the success even more in the initial stages. So I am happy for you. nice attempt and very good image. Since I have no experience of this I shall not be able to add any suggestions of criticism. But I must say , very interesting image and work. Well Done. |

I agree with Teresa here about the TC , for sports or wildlife photography where you need the extra MM in focal length, however sacrificing a Stop of light is call you should take depending upon , how often you do this , and the lighting conditions when you usually do this. for example wildlife of Mammals and larger animals , the stop of light would not matter as they come out in open and you can click them from a distance but the light is usually good. for birding , the smaller birds are shy , scared of larger birds hence they usually are in the trees in shadows and not so well lit parts of the forest. here you need all the light you can get coming into the sensor.
One more thought - if you are not doing this often, like you rented the TC , you could even rent a prime lens for your camera of a longer Focal length or something like 100-400 or 200-500 , I am not so well versed with Nikon lens line up. but I am sure you get my point. cause if renting is an option and you only use longer zoom sometimes in a year. then renting the lens would be more economical.
About the image, its a very well clicked shot , well timed and properly lit , I am happy to see you were not afraid of ISO and noise , but more importantly you opted to get the shot right with right shutter speed. These days with the advanced softwares one can easily get rid of the noise and clean the image in post production. but you cannot do much if the focus, and shutter speed is not right. So well done. fantastic sports image. |
