The feet of drummer are not in frame, as i said I was right in the first line trying to shoot with my 24mm- 600mm RX10 lens, and i was full wide (24mm) and could not move even an inch. So this was the best I could do in given circumstances. |

Glad you enjoy my long description of my images, I am just trying to capture some shades of my culturaly rich and diverse country, though it would take several lifetimes to do so, I do my bit.
Women are huge part of this event, but for this particular dance or round , it was males only thing. There are different games for men and women, I have few images of women only too. hopefully I shall post them in coming months.
Yes a lot of effort and resources do go into shooting such events, as they happen as per indian calendar fixed auspicious days ( not necessarily weekends) , also the places are far off and reaching there and securing a vantage spot is the real challenge. Many serious photographers literally reach 5-6 hours prior and stay in the spot to get the shots that they want. Cause in India , we do have surplus population and even for a smaller function there will be easily half a million people arriving. |

Wow, Nostalgic photo, Nostalgia because it brings back my childhood memories of watching wild west movies from hollywood with clint eastwood , Yul Brynner and gang .Very nicely captured image perfect balance between highlights and shadows can see each and every detail in this image. |

Keith, your photo of the Chickadee sitting on your knee is truly amazing. The fact that the same bird first sat on your camera lens and then on your knees is so fascinating.
