Thanks a lot Kath, really means a lot to me .
I Cropped her headgear to fit her in the Rule of thirds i wanted her eyes to be at the 1/3rd position of frame.

Beautiful image .
I agree with Gregory about the main subject . Since you named the photo as "Christmas lights" then you could try cropping out the left part with Moon and its reflection . cause my eye keeps on going there as it is an beautiful element in this image. it kind of steals the show from the Christmas Lights.
All that apart , a very beautiful capture. |

wow lucky to get such a view during your walks , looks like such a peaceful place to be in , Great shot , but makes me wonder that this place will definately provide you many more framing options with so many rocks on shore , tree and the water body . I am also keen to see the lake with its bottom rocks and plants , i feel if you bring an polariser filter you will get some good shots of the lake with floor of the lake visible too. Please try it |

Wow a Brilliant Capture , what i love the most of this image is the moment of capture when the Bird is also having its wings in the shape of the tree . Very well composed and sharp image.

Hey Kath,
I too use my RX10M4 extensively and I hear you about the low light performance, but such tripod based long exposures are really good with RX10 , I have tried it a 100 times. Infact most of my pictures you see here or in my Insta are 90% from RX10. So dont you worry , try Long exposures , keep the ISO at 100 or 200 , use F11 Aperture and Exposure according to the scene , keep an eye on the EV meter , and your metering . change these two to suit your requirement and using 2s or 5s timer mode , click . I am sure you will be satisfied with the results.
It may produce as smoother or brilliant image as a Full Frame or high end DSLR or Mirrorless ,but the difference between the higher end DSLR/Mirrorless vs RX10 is only seem when you zoom in at 100%.
So my advise to you is first try with RX10 .
I have RX10mM4, Sony A7Riii & Canon 7DMK2 hence my observation. |

Hey Andrew
Great work , loved the image , its very well lit and composed image. truly !!. I know the trouble involved in shooting cityscapes with Moon well exposed , there is no other way than doing an Double exp. my only observation and suggestion would be to bring the Moon and the Iconic buildings as per the Rule of 3rd . so moon could be at left top intersection and the buildings could be on the right top and bottom intersection if you can.
Otherwise I do not find anything else to add to .
Brilliant work .
