yes i was in train , but because i was in train I got the elevation to click this between the shrubs . If i was standing on ground , i could not have got this scene because the trees between me and fall were higher . One of the days I will go back there with intent of clicking this frame again with proper preparation. And yes you must visit my country it has a lot to offer |

Hi Andrew
Thanks for the review and appreciation , Yes the image is blown out on top as i wanted to get the fall and trees better exposed , There was lot of water droplet in air , mist , my camera lens was getting misty quiet often , i had kept a cloth to keep cleaning it often. still i guess some frosting did happen , hence the softness of image i Guess. I tried Cropping but it was not appealing to me . So i kept this edit . Also this was way back in 2013. back then my photography skills were not as progressed as they are today. |

Superb street image with a lot of life and story . besides the bond between father and child , i can also see stages of life .
Old age Man, Middle aged man and a young child who has entire life ahead of him. All the comments about geometry correction and cropping , I tried my hand attaching the image here . Hope you like it . |

Hi Gregory
What an outstanding image , it has everything , i cannot think of anything to add to it . Superb framing , for me the first thought in my mind when i saw the image ( even before reading your description and comments) was the stark difference of Man made structure vs Nature . Man made structures once destroyed cannot repair or restore itself on its own, however Nature on the other hand is always going through its cycle of creation and destruction and again creation. your image speaks the same to me. I also loved the way you included the grass in the lower frame even when you had to cut the top of the wall , the lower grass gives the structure a finite size. I tried to crop it such that i start the image with the walls , but it doesnt work for me. Luminar does a great job in bringing out the details in image. I use Luminar too in most of my images.
All in All an awesome image. Thanks for sharing it . |

First of all , again I envy you for staying midst such a lovely place. awesome image. Love it . I want to sit in this chair
About RX10 , for very high dynamic shots such as this , i would suggest you to try multiple exposure shots , its there in sony RX10 and you can shoot handheld with 2Ev difference , you will then have to merge the 3 images in PP.
Also try one more thing , in Av mode , set the exposure meter down to -3 and shoot , you might get a dark image ,later trying opening up the shadows in LR ( first lower the contrast and then open shadows to your liking ) , try it .

Superb capture Andrew , amazing colors and dynamic range. I see that you have slowed the shutter to get the milky effect to the fountain water. It has come out well , also if this is an handheld shot , kudos to you. Well done. |
