Thanks for all of the comments and constructive criticism. That's what we're here for.
This is the middle image of a three image HDR set and just run through my DxO software as a first pass. I'm going to run the three files through the HDR process in RAW, the resultant 32-bit TIF file through DxO, and their final corrected image through Organic Imaging as I usually during my normal workflow. I realize that my process is odd to say the least. I'll go into more detail on this when I redo my profile.
I'm glad to be back and hope to make up to shoot with Sharon at some point and perhaps at the upcoming 3CT conference. My wife and I are delighted to be moving to TN and to the wealth of photo ops available throughout the state. |

Very whimsical image! The comp is great because the statue at the far left is balanced very well by the plant on the right. I really like the placement of the doorway just to the left of center. You are a very adept user of the PS tools and have learned well. My only suggestion is that, on my screen, the zones 7 and 8 need to be just a bit lighter to bump up the contrast a bit. Well done! |

Excellent image here! The contrast in the trees is superb, as well as that of the sky and the water. The only thing I would do is shoot the scene with more depth of field to bring this foreground foliage into more focus. But then, the scene, as shot, would be very close to how your eye would see and process. Well done! |

Love this image. It seems to have been taken with a long lens because of the scene compression but at a lot of depth of field at the same time. I like what you did with the barn, too. This is one for the wall! |

Striking comp of a great scene! I must say than I've never been a fan of the channel swapping technique especially as it's normally prescribed. May I suggest adjusting the shot as done and then try a gradient blending mode. This process converts the tones to shades of gray, black, and white based on a different basis that the desaturation process often applied. And blow that contrast on tall shrub at the corner of the church which will set off the church quite well. Shrubs, to me, seem to emit less IR than tree leaves. Very excellent image. |

NIce feeling in this image. A little muddy in the overall contrast which may be because of the sepia toning. I do agree with Arnold in that there's too much sky in the image and, for me, the church is too centered. A horizontal comp would fix that is done even from the same spot. Suggest a square comp of this image with a little more contrast and I think you'll be spot on. Good job. |

Nice scene overall. This looks like a nice place to shoot. Moving to Chattanooga puts Memphis much closer. As you know I'm a devoted golden proportion shooter and by taking the tall fountain to the right side proportion line would automatically cut off the left side that several others mentioned. I like that you shot this at noon when most other photographers are lieing low waiting for some more shadows. The only thing I can see a little more contrast overall which would darken the sky and give more tone separation in the tree leaves. |
