Seeing the actual cropped version is helpful too. Like Stuart predicted the surfer pops out more. I am learning more and more how subjective photography can be. |

I am an avid birder so I absolutely love this photo! To get a shot of them looking at each other like this is amazing. The loons' striking patterns in your close up photo with the bright red eyes make it so interesting. The reflections and water bubbles add to the photo. Taking photos while paddling is always a challenge too . Congrats! |

Very cool photo of this surfer with perfect timing! I thought about possibly cropping too but then changed my mind. Those multiple lines of the rough waves add motion/interest to the photo. |

Thank you, Ruth I have several that I took quickly that day. If I enter this in a local contest ; I will pick one where the wings are not so tight. It happened so quickly so I just kept shooting. Those wires came off a slim pole that extends from the huge telephone type pole. I actually removed the wires in another photo. Here is another where the wings are further from the border. |
