63 Apr 25 Comment Hi Pierre, A beautiful bird image! It is difficult to shoot swallows well because they fly very fast, almost nonstop.

I think the image is soft-focused, and not sharp enough; the bird body feather lacks texture and details. It needs increasing contrast. In Adobe Lightroom, there are some features that can increase texture and details.

Now I mainly shoot small birds, and my camera settings are: exposure 1/2500 sec at f8, Auto ISO at maximum 10000, my lens 500mm. I hope it will give you some reference about bird shooting.

63 Apr 25 Comment Hi Charlie, Wow, very sharp, very detailed, well done! I think the composition is too static, looks like a technique book's illustration. I am not sure if it is possible to compose subjects in more artistic ways in this kind of image shooting. It is just my thought. Thanks for sharing! Apr 13th

I think the composition is not perfect, a little busy with subjects, and it is a little hard to tell where the view focus point is. If it is mine, probably I only shoot one bunch of flowers (Or using f4 only focus on one bunch of flowers). Thanks for sharing! Apr 13th
