82 Mar 21 Reply No problem at all Andrew, I knew what you meant. :) Mar 15th
82 Mar 21 Reply You are absolutely right Andrew! Cropping the image even further and removing the foreground (including the offending person) does wonders for the image. Thank you. Mar 15th
82 Mar 21 Reply Thank you Kathleen, agreee, the person in front need to be removed, she does nothing for the image. Mar 15th
82 Mar 21 Comment The curious looks on the faces of these three owls makes the image very special. My favourite is the owl in the middle have hiding behind it's mate.
I agree with Gregory and Andrew that it would be better to tone down the background, but you have done well taking this photograph against a bright sky. Great shot Kathleen.

82 Mar 21 Comment The aspect of this flower is just perfect and so is the position of the insect. The gradually changing shades of yellow are beautiful and the green centre draws in the eye.
I am not sure about the white spaces on the left-hand side. On the one hand they form a good break to the relative monotony of the bright yellow pedals, on the other hand I find them somewhat distracting. A fantastic image Andrew.

82 Mar 21 Comment A lovely portrait Prasad. The hand raised to the model's ear shows the edge of the hand towards the camera offering less surface to compete with the face. The model is set off-centre with her head slightly turned and her eyes are engaging with the photographer. There is great detail in the hair and the effect of the vignette is perfect. Maybe you could minimally lighten the shadow over the right eye to give it more prominence. Great work Prasad. Mar 15th
82 Mar 21 Reply Thank you Martin for your observations and suggestions. I attach the image in which the group is "surging" forward. I preferred the static line as I saw anticipation in it.
Shooting down the line of faces would have been fantastic, but I was too far away to get there on time. Competitors do unfortunately not wait for photographers :).

82 Mar 21 Reply Thank you for your constructive comments Gregory. I will try and clone out the person in the foreground and see what impact this will have. I liked the fact that I got the person in the foreground, but you may well be right that without the person there is more focus on the line of surf boards. Mar 12th
82 Mar 21 Comment This image is beautifully composed Gregory. I love the aloes in the foreground creating a leading line with the aloe nestled against the rock. Maybe the path/sand in the middle ground could be slightly toned down. I would also try and crop the left hand side to remove the "half aloe" and the foliage of the tree. The top I would crop by about the same amount to remove the cut-off cactus. Great image though. Mar 12th
