Expanding flat landscapes are some of the most difficult subjects to photograph. This is an excellent example of how to do it. The clouds, almost touching the trees on the horizon form a link between land and sky, softening the stark contrast. Good detail in the foreground and the focus is centered on the cluster of trees in the middle from where the eye connects with the clouds and the sky.... perfect.

This is a lovely shot, To me it conveys the feeling of a carefree summer's day. I like the leading line created by the water disappearing into the bottom left hand corner. Maybe both boys could have been brought a little bit closer to the water and the center of focus, but this may have destroyed the spontaneity of the moment. |

A beautiful shot Kathleen! I like the colouring as is and the mist gives it additional interest. Some post processing software offer a "dehaze" function, but I would not use it for this shot, the mist if beautiful and the detail in the grass is just right... |

This is an amazing image and an amazing Statue. The detail in the image and the sky are just wonderful. Worth while all the effort that went into this shot! |
