The water color image is softer and more soothing. Pastel-like. Something I'd be more likely to hang on a wall. Well done! |

Beautiful/sharp image. Agree with Jack that the perspective is perfect - virtually no distortion typically seen in such images. Nice range of tones and colors. I like your vantage point; lower than eye level - but not too low. Did this require correction of distortion? Any comments on indigo - is it better than the iPhone native camera? |

Hi Ruth - Hope you are well. I agree with Jack's comments. I like the yellow/purple/green color palette. One suggestion you may have fun with - there is an app called PlantNet. It's free/easy and allows you to upload images for identification. I use it, because I know nothing about plants! Works with flowers, plants, trees, fruits, etc. It is remarkably accurate!! I uploaded your image and it's a Leafy fleabane (Erigeron foliosus Nutt.). The flower is typically only 0.59 inches in diameter. |

Great image - I would have never guessed it was taken through a bus window. That bridge is impressive/scary. I really feel the expanse of the scene. The blue/green color palette is pleasing/soothing. The foreground lake guides the viewer into the image. The clouds also lead me to the mountaintop. I'm guessing you took this with the wide angle lens; I sense some barrel distortion. Could be part of your intent. |

I've not been to Cuba; it should be on my list. I like the building architecture and the way the red car pops! The hanging laundry adds interest. I like Kieu-Hanh's edits; agree the third floor (partially cutoff) doesn't add much to the image. The car is such an important part of the image - that I wish there was a bit more room on the right side of the frame; current composition feels too tight. |

Thank you. I agree the background flag could have been more blurred; unfortunately I didn't know how to do that with the iPhone (a conventional camera would have offered that capability). Regarding the crop - I'm not sure. I kind of like to include the whole flag and some background; I wish the background was something more interesting (or black). I may try this set-up at home; seems like there are so many possibilities. |

Thanks Chan . . . like all things Ps . . . I "added salt to taste" - certainly experimentation is key. |

I had no idea of this tradition/marker. So much gentler (and likely respected!) than our "KEEP OFF" signs. You explanation helps a lot. Unfortunately your main image doesn't tell me a story - perhaps, because I don't know what it is. It looks like some rope around a stone or ball of yarn. Doesn't hold my interest. Your original tells more a story (especially for those who understand the symbolism) - but even there the rock is too small/dark to have a prominent impact. I played with a crop/exposure adjustment; not sure it worked. |

Nice/sharp image of a pensive chimp! They love to perform. I wish he was looking at the camera. Also - his eyes have no life (some refer to them as "dead eyes" without catchlights) - if possible - important to get those catchlights - even if small. You might be able to increase the saturation/brightness of his eyes in this image. And perhaps dodge/burn to add depth to the image. |

Wow - I have no clue what I'm looking at - but it grabs my interest and holds it. Some much to wander around and see. Nice mix of colors, textures, directions, etc. Very creative. |

Nice holiday image. The reds really pop against the dark/subdued background. I imagine your home is quite festive now . . . . ENJOY! |

I love that with digital - we can easily revisit/edit old images; often finding a previously undiscovered gem. The picture of your wife/dog is obviously meaningful for you and you did a great job masking the chair and creating the composite. My only question pertains to size/scale. I'm struck that in your composite your wife appears too small. I think you could easily transform that layer into something that fit better with the size of the chair. I could also envision a series of images, varying the opacity of your wife/dog from 100% to a series of lower numbers. Thanks for sharing this. |

Tx Jennifer. I did nothing to the color of each layer. I did play with the blend mode in Ps; several multiply/alter the colors in the final blended image. |
