51 Nov 25 Comment Nice image - and great reminder that it pays to be patient with trees. Sometimes, with proper care and luck - a tree that isn't doing well turns the corner. This one certainly did. Nov 19th

86 Nov 25 Reply I think finding an angle to exclude the vertical part of the image would have been difficult; fortunately pretty easy to remove. Nov 16th
86 Nov 25 Reply Thank you - I like what you did. I tried to darken that spot (with limited success) - cropping it out would have been smarter. Nov 16th
86 Nov 25 Reply Thank you for your kind words! YES - we LOVED Naxos - it was our first trip to the region - and Naxos was the highlight. In fact we're planning another trip in 2026; and my fear is that we'll be comparing everything to the Greek islands - and things might not measure up. Take care. Nov 8th
86 Nov 25 Reply Makes sense. It also conveys depth. Well done. Nov 5th
86 Nov 25 Reply Kieu-Hanh - Thanks for your comments. Good suggestion to crop out the bright window; I tried to darken it (with limited success) - it would have been better to just crop the image. Nov 3rd
86 Nov 25 Comment What a happy/playful image. Agree with everything Jack said. I have no suggestions for improvement. One question - looks like sky in the upper background? And some trees/greenery on the bottom? Are the umbrellas directly overhead - and is this due tot he angle of your view? Nov 2nd
86 Nov 25 Comment I find the original composition most compelling. I like the way the clouds guide me to the trees. Lots of interesting shadows. The yellow color of the fields is perfect. Might considering removing the small trees/treetops to the left and right. Regarding your main image - I find the unusual aspect ratio unsettling/distracting. If this were part of a vertical series (like a triptych) - it would work better. Nov 2nd
86 Nov 25 Comment Interesting image - two things catch my eye - the photograph (I wonder who the shop owner is posing with) and the LABORATORIO sign; is that related to the chesse making process or something totally different? The cheeses on the plate seem less sharp than other parts of the photo - perhaps due to movement. I wonder if there is another image in this (see attached) - where I cropped, sharpened and expanded. Losing the foreground makes it less clear where this is. Nov 2nd
86 Nov 25 Reply I also really like the original (as posted) - the way the clouds guide my gaze to the grain elevator. I think it would make a great B&W image. Curious to see the original that corresponds to the final image posted. My initial impression is that the sky is too purple. Nov 1st
86 Nov 25 Reply Thank you. Attached is the unedited image. I did increase the saturation (do you think too much?), adjust the lighting, tried to darken the window on the upper left which was distracting and added a vignette. Can you explain more about seeing one corner and not the other? Do you refer to the edge of the shelves on the left - and not on the right? Just seeking to understand. Nov 1st
86 Nov 25 Comment Hi Bill - can you share the original/unedited capture that corresponds to your main final image? I think that would help us comment. Thank you. Nov 1st

87 Nov 25 Reply Thank you . . . although Africa remains on my bucket list - my wife has vetoed that . . . so I'm left with Brookfield Zoo! Nov 18th
87 Nov 25 Reply Good catch - I missed that. Agree it should be removed! Nov 9th
87 Nov 25 Comment What a playful baby! Nicely blurred background. I agree with Will that the focus seem soft. The lens you're using is phenomenal - were you shooting through a glass/plastic partition? Agree your shutter speed might be a bit slow for the focal length. I also live in the Canon ecosystem; not sure how you focused - I find using the eye autofocus (with animal selected) and servo if there is movement/action works best in zoos. Nov 2nd
87 Nov 25 Comment Nice job removing distractions and expanding the foreground! I like the color/texture of the building. The rich red draws/holds my interest; also how the sun lights various parts of the building differently. You chose to remove only one tree limb. Do you think the other helps or hurts the image. Nov 2nd
87 Nov 25 Comment What a perfect spot for this creative image! Did you stage the woman in different locations prior to blending? Or naturally capture her as she walked by? I like that she is not sharp and is largely silhouetted; that adds mystery/interest and a sense of motion. The lighting creates the perfect backdrop. It's like 10 images in one; so much to look at. Really well done. Nov 1st
87 Nov 25 Comment Glad you made it into the park; and saved the toll! I like the image - especially the photographer on the bottom capturing the scene. I wish his legs weren't cutoff. I find myself wishing you had more of the waterfall? Or more of the people? Both seem crunched. You had lots of room to zoom out with that lens - perhaps doing so would have lost too much of the crowd. Nov 1st
87 Nov 25 Reply Thank you - I agree. Nov 1st
87 Nov 25 Comment I really like this - the mood/mystery it creates. Parallel train tracks appearing to converge at infinity - no idea where they are going. I'm distracted by the luminance noise (the speckled/texture throughout) - so I tried to play with the image. I'm guessing the scene was very dark - the iPhone usually does a great job with noise. Much to my chagrin - I was unable to get something I liked with LR, Ps or Topaz. So I asked ChatGPT for help - and much to my surprise - ChatGPT returned this image. I was amazed, although significant details were lost. Where is this all heading? I appreciate Will's point - that the grain adds to the character of the image. Curious what others think. Nov 1st
