I like the repeating concentric patterns - and also that you chose to include an odd number and not center them; all that creates interest. Regarding the brown leaf - I have mixed feelings - on one hand it breaks up the scene, as you state? On the other hand it's a distraction that I don't find terribly interesting. Not sure it adds anything? What do others think?
The focus seems a bit soft (could be, in part, due the low resolution image). |

Love the colors - they really make the image pop! The greenery, bracelets, nail polish, red scarf - all work well together. I like the artists' gaze/concentration on their work. I have no suggestions to improve it. What is the green box on the table?

Interesting image - so many frames within frames! I think your crop works. I played with the image - trying tighter crops, B&W, and even inverting the whole mono image (making blacks white and whites black) - it did get more abstract - but I didn't find anything that was better than what you have. Agree a conventional camera would have given you more control/DOF - but the iPhone did a good job. Well done! |

A wonderful image and memory! I like their gaze - into one another's eyes. Definitely feel the connection between the two of them - and my eyes tend to bounce between their faces - which is good - keeping me in the frame. Could consider a slight vignette - since some of the corners are quite bright and may distract. |

Fun/playful image. Not sure exactly what it is . . . but it's interesting. To my eye - you may have added a bit too much "HDR" or saturation - the original needed to be brightened for sure - and I like the exposure (brightness) of your edit - but the HDR effect could be dialed back. Just my two cents - a matter of preference. |

Thank you - my wife has the OM-1 Mk II - an impressive camera. It's noticeably lighter (esp the longer lens) than a full-frame format. I may take the plunge. |

Good catch - I didn't appreciate that (there aren't many shadows in the background!) - but upon closer inspection - I think you correct. Thank you. |

Very nice image - love the soft color palette and the reflection. I wish there was more reflection (it's so good!) . . . perhaps a third of the frame. Trunk is interesting. As an aside - I believe you were shooting Sony - do you like the Olympus? I'm thinking about it as a lighter/smaller alternative to the full frame Canon. Thoughts? |

Nice image - I like the blurred background. I wonder what this would look like if the bridge was sharp - and the foreground flowers blurred. You likely need to go back to Switzerland to do that :) Chan raises an interesting question - what is the primary subject? I suppose you decided it was the foreground flowers - because you chose to make them sharp. I think Chan's crop is a bit tight - I like seeing more of the bridge - which I think is more interesting than the flowers. |

A creative interpretation of the arch. The mono processing works well; good range of tones. My only comment on the composition is that my eyes follow the arch from the lower left (bright/large structure) - up to the upper right - and then out of the frame. Not sure I have a solution for this given the subject - just an observation. |

I like the B&W processing - it's more engaging. I also agree with Chan that your image is rather flat - and there are opportunities to use light (dodge/burn) to guide the view through the image. It's a calm/restful scene. Nicely done. |

I remember this image - I liked it then and I like it now! Not sure which is my favorite. The high contrast B&W processing really makes the boy "pop" against he bright background. I like the texture of the stone. Some details in the distant stone are lost due to very bright processing. The vignette (almost "spotlight") draws my gaze straight to the subject. I might consider a slightly less dark vignette (or perhaps a more feathered vignette) - it seems a bit too dark/unrealistic for my eye. I appreciate this is a question of taste. |

Agree there is a sense of foreboding/mystery. Likely not a place I'd feel comfortable walking alone. The out of focus foreground brush guides the viewer and frames the moon nicely. There is a darker band across the top of the image - what is that? |
