Agree the color works best. I like what you did with the tree!

No need for apology/caution.
Showing interest in another photographer's image is a compliment!
Fun image to play with - I think your sky is a bit too warm/yellow/orange - for the color of the steel landing gear. It's a beautiful sky - just not for this scene. |

Lance: I agree choice of paper can change the feel (pun intended!) of the image. Unfortunately I print very little . . . and know I should print more. Stay well. |

I enjoyed taking these shots . . . unfortunately the original sky was monotonous blue (not a single cloud). I always feel a tinge of guilt when I manipulate an image. And yes, confession makes me feel better. |

Did you ask this guy to look straight at you? Such a happy picture.
Last week I attended a workshop where the photographer talked about the importance of whimsy in photography; to create interest and warmth/happiness. I had never thought about that.
Your shot is so whimsical . . . leaving me convinced this guy is happy/carefree, doing the backstroke and enjoying the chance to pose. The reflection and ripples add to the image! The pink spot on the front of his nose makes him even more real. Well done. |

Happy to ship some snow to you this Winter . . . since you enjoy it :)
Great image - the bubble is tack sharp and perfectly exposed. I like the reflections in the bubble; I'm guessing of trees behind the photographer. The upper part of the bubble captures upright reflections - and the lower part flips the scene and inverts it. Creates interest.
I find this interesting; the lensball (a solid piece of glass) - inverts the entire scene behind the ball. Perhaps the soap bubble is different due to the air inside - with the entire reelection coming from the front surface of the bubble.
I'm unsure if the black cylindrical objects (?) behind the bubble add or detract from the picture.
What did you use to blow the bubbles? I notice your title - do you think the bubble was frozen when you snapped this?

Nice shot - perfect starbursts and also shutter speed to capture the motion of the cars and ship. You got the exposure right in camera; not easy with this scene!
I've never been to that spot - if there was an option to shoot this without the tree in the lower right - I think that would improve the composition.
This image has great tonal range - and almost no color - I'd consider trying a monochrome conversion. |

Beautiful image . . . I love the laciness of the web, droplets - and great bokeh. My eyes are drawn to the main stem/leaves/droplets . . . where they linger.
I think your processing was good - impactful colors that look very real/natural; as I imagine the Fall scene might have looked. There is lots of other stuff in the frame - that sets the stage - but is not at all distracting.
If you were going to show/print this - I'd get rid of the white upper right corner - cloning in some blurry leaves from nearby. |

Great shot - I've never shot at a track - seems like lots of fun. You did a great job panning to "freeze" the car (except for the wheel motion - esp apparent in the alternate image). I agree with Cindy, between your pan and the shutter speed - there is little motion apparent in the car.
I wish the background/foreground was more interesting - and blurred.
It is so monotonous that it's hard to sense movement. If you shot this in front of stands, pit crew, people, lights, etc. - I would find it more impactful.
Thanks for motivating me to go find a track! |
