Hi Stephen, Covid Memorial looks very emotional. U.S. Corona death toll nears 800K. Turkey is 7th and 70K deaths as of today. My wife and I've been fully vaccinated ie 3 doses. God bless our countries and the world. I hope for the best in 2022.
Regarding processing: There's a noisy sky and minor re-adjustments needed for highlights e.g. tonal width & radius.

Hi Dick, it's definitely an extraordinary shot & processing; nevertheless, I agree with Arne that you cropped a lot e.g. full or 3/4 of leaf would enhance the beauty of spider web. Well-done, thanks for sharing. |

Hi Tracy, -frankly speaking- I prefer color photos of nature to accent the vivid colors of rivers, trees, grass, animals etc e.g. the sea is unseen and unnoticed in bnw copy. Regarding your processing: Because of color transitions, -with different level of tones- clouds are much more detailed and strong in color version so converting to bnw should have given us the same feeling i.e. increasing mid-tone contrast, adding gradient and details e.g. Don's work coincides with what I suggested. Thanks for sharing. |

Hi Don, use a selection tool in PS to trace around the subject you want to remove. I use Polygonal Lasso Tool. Then, use (Edit > Fill > Content-Aware) to automatically fill the selection of the subject with other parts of the image.

Hi Arne, that's a good idea to photograph old buildings to support a project. Next generations will thank you. I'm going to start mine soon about -old / traditional- "Barbershops of Anatolia."
I understand that your target was to boost Bakom building and you've succeeded. I also agree with Haru and enjoyed his re-edited version. Nevertheless, your style of processing is my first choice. Meanwhile, color version is sharper.
Regarding exif; I'm not so familiar with medium format Fuji cameras and its large sensor, settings etc; but I would select f9 and above on my Canon camera.
I wish you success in your new project ie "Carrying Bergen's present into the future." |

Hi Haru, I normally prefer nature photos in color and yours is a masterpiece; but bnw conversion also looks impressive; well-done, congrats. Thanks for sharing. |

Hi Don, I wish you a happy birthday and the gift your wife gave was an amazing one. I do not want to evaluate your PS processing that I really enjoyed shades of gray tones, overall sharpness and contrast value. I just want to ask why you've chosen f20, did you also shoot at a lower aperture eg f16 or below? Thanks for sharing. |

Yeah, even if I've had 3 doses of vaccine, have been wearing mask continuously since early last year. It's not an accessory anymore; but a must! You're absolutely right, masks affect facial expressions e.g. do not allow lip reading and it's impossible to read eye movements if he/she wears dark lens sunglasses. I did not crop; but removed unnecessary stuff. Thanks Don. |
