32 Apr 21 Comment Hi again Stephen; I've re-adjusted color balance, toning, reduced noise, improved sharpness, edited gradient and kept roof uncropped to feel depth-of-field better. Hope you enjoy. Apr 3rd
32 Apr 21 Comment Hi Stephen. I agree, The Mausoleum of the First Qin Empero and The Terrracotta Army sculptures are probably one of the sights which we shouldn't miss when we're in China. I've been in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou many times on business; but couldn't take time to visit such historical places so thanks for sharing. Regarding exif; frankly speaking, it's not an easy frame. I don't know your camera adjustments e.g. aperture, white balance, shutter speed and focus zone. Color original is more sharp and the details are more clear. These are all related with aperture based depth-of-field i.e. how far away sculptures are. Anyway, I'm going to re-edit your original. 74 Apr 21 Comment I've been to Venice several times and -apart of canals- it's one of the best street photography destination. I agree with Arne and Ying about enhancing contrast and you could also add some detail on boat wakes on the water. I prefer the size you've posted i.e. do not want to crop the bottom as there must be a balance between water and building density. Well-done Bill, thanks for sharing. Apr 16th
74 Apr 21 Reply Yes Bill, TV (Shutter Priority) mode. Thanks for your comment. Depending on the speed of subject, I choose a slow shutter speed between 1/30" - 1/80" Apr 16th
74 Apr 21 Comment Hi Dick; trunk, branches and leaves look a bit overexposed & overprocessed; but it may probably be your eyesight i.e. style of editing. I attached a re-edited copy which I'd like to suggest e.g. readjustment on toning, color balance, adding some details, improved sharpness, vibrance, exposure and made a smooth gradient. Hope you like. Thanks for sharing Dick and welcome to the group. Apr 8th

74 Apr 21 Comment Hi Trevor, welcome to the group. How peaceful countryside shot and God Bless our children. I lived in the Cotswolds for 4 years and there's no better place to be than the British & Irish countryside. I agree with Ying and Stephen about framing and grains in the sky could be reduced during bnw conversion. Thanks for sharing. Apr 8th
74 Apr 21 Reply You're absolutely right, background is important while taking panning shot; but the reality here is: It's a very busy dual carriageway and there are trees on at equal distances of 5 meters on the middle so you have to control both the vehicles on other road behind and your target vehicle. Believe me, -apart of your skill- you must be a magician to control all and the trees are always there:) Surely, I have some other panning areas; please visit my Instagram gallery Stephen. Thanks for your comment. Apr 7th
74 Apr 21 Reply I agree. Thanks for your supportive comment Ying. Apr 7th

74 Apr 21 Comment Dark room developing and lab machine processing 40 years ago were usually not our business and we were just taking photos; but today, every photographer must know how to edit their photos in PS, Lightroom etc.. I like both the color and skilled technique-edited bnw versions. It's a masterpiece, thanks for sharing. Apr 5th
74 Apr 21 Comment Both the color and converted copies are impressive Arne, congrats. You always take us to an exclusive area in photography with your posts which we firstly think on subject / given message before evaluating the technical details. Skyglow has also supported the ruins. Thanks for sharing. Apr 4th
74 Apr 21 Comment The first thing I noticed was the snow layers. We don't get so much snow in Istanbul so I'm really impressed with your photo. Regarding exif: As you did not use ND filter I guess, shutter speed is high. 1/4 - 1/6 could give more silky effect, but your work is absolutely excellent and I also prefer to capture waterfalls, rivers without ND filter to show water flow with lines. In the light of Arne's comment; not lightening the water, -but I suggest- lowering the brightness of white tones slightly. Thanks for sharing Haru. Apr 4th
