32 Nov 20 Reply Hi Stephen, my mother is from Izmir so we have friends and relatives there. Fortunately, nobody was affected; but we're so sad that too many people have died (102 as of this morning) and injured (1026), collapsed buildings, earthquake homeless' while winter is approaching. Search & Rescue Teams plus Paramedics have made superhuman efforts and worked miracles. Our government will give full support e.g. free construction of new buildings instead of collapsed ones within a year, new furnitures and household appliances will be given; temporary house rent and relocation costs will be covered for a year and plus cash support for each family.
Regarding re-edit of your photo; I used PS to adjust shadows, brightness, highlights, midtone contrast and used black in gradients. Then, I used Canon's very professional tool DPP to sharpen your pic. Briefly, every photographer looks different with different photographic eye e.g. patterns, spaces, geometry, angles etc i.e. photography is a creative art so only technical issues can / must be developed by other photographers. Your choreography was excellent; but photo was dark, noisy and not sharp enough and I helped my friend to achieve perfection. Thanks for sharing Stephen.

32 Nov 20 Comment Definitely a picturesque bay and what a restful, peaceful and -I'm sure- quietest place Stephen. It's an amazing area to rest. If we talk technically: Colors always cover minor problems; but only two colors and the tones of gray show all e.g. tones of bluish clouds are seen as noise in bnw version. That's why I convert limited subjects to bnw. Anyway, I'm going to re-edit your original copy to explain what I said. Thanks for sharing. Nov 2nd

74 Nov 20 Comment Sharp sunflower with blurred pattern behind take us in the composition. Very interesting trial. I agree with Bill that the two sunflowers on the right seem good in color original; but could be cropped in bnw version or can lighten the dark black cores soften the image? Gray tones cannot give the same feelings as colour. Thanks for sharing Angela. Nov 11th

74 Nov 20 Comment Hi Ying, I enjoyed both the bnw and color versions. Maybe you could increase contrast a bit. Jeff looks so magnificent. In response to Haru, -in my opinion- long expo is needed here not to freeze clouds' movement. This ensures impressive sky effect. Removing headlights behind the tree and red light on the left are good edits. Well-done, you took us to exciting Africa. Thanks for sharing. Nov 7th
74 Nov 20 Comment Hi Arne, color original and bnw versions are not same. It's understandable to lose some details and textures while converting to bnw and they can be found in color version. It's really an interesting frame which you've captured on time. As color and bnw copies are different; face of children is not seen clearly in bnw copy, but clear in original. It's a good idea not to increase shutter speed more to keep water fountains a bit silky. Girl's full shadow supports the composition. Thanks for sharing. Nov 7th
74 Nov 20 Comment I really enjoyed and can easily say that the bnw version is more impressive than the original version. Family is sharp enough and dad's legs in a blurred motion strengthen the sense of movement as it was the last detail when panning. Bnw background is blurrier than the color background which is perfect. Speed is good, 1/60 could be tried. Panning framing is excellent and deserves applause. Thanks for sharing David. Nov 6th
74 Nov 20 Reply Hi Stephen, I'm following the US Election results and wishing all the best for USA and the World. You're absolutely right that I should remove the legs of statue. He was playing alone to make money and has a basket. Thanks for your comment. Nov 4th
74 Nov 20 Reply Hi Haru, thanks for your comment. I've thought like you after shot, but the main focused point is his left hand here. Could you kindly re-edit? Thanks my friend. Nov 3rd
74 Nov 20 Comment It's an impressive and unspoiled Gothic church. Probably, tall windows allow in large amounts of light. I just want to ask you why you did not stand at the entry of the nave to take this pic? As you used handheld camera, no need to discuss on exif e.g. higher aperture + lower speed. Anyway, I'm really impressed by its architecture Bill and wished to re-edit i.e. I've increased sharpness, rotated right and used black in gradients. Thanks for sharing. Nov 2nd
74 Nov 20 Comment Hi Haru, your work is really amazing, congrats. I'm not sure whether you used a ND filter. Depending ND stop, you could set a bit higher aperture and lower speed and auto ISO value would also not be too high e.g. 100 - 200 and this would provide more silky smooth. This is only a suggestion and even if I'm a bnw addict, I enjoy Mother Nature's true colors and grayish / bluish silky stream in your photo is really remarkable. Thanks for sharing. Nov 2nd
