Hi LuAnn, background behind the door is too bright and could be dimmed -1 or 2 step. Metering mode is probably evaluative. It's originally a dark room and no iso used as I don't see grain. There could be a softbox or -very likely- TTL ceiling reflection. I know Fatih as he is also a member of FIAP and a good photographer. Brgds.

"İstif" means "Storage" in English. Pottery is very popular in central and eastern Anatolia. It's an important tool of village life and a good souvenir for westerners. I had posted a similar photo in january. Usage of light and smiles on faces are remarkable. |

I think, it's a meat market and cannot imagine color version. How dirty and unhygienic place! Probably, wet markets are now closed because of coronavirus. Your photo is a good example to show eastern culture and lady butchers. |

I greatly regret the delay in commenting your post Angela as we're all stuck at home and occupied with damn virus news! It looks like a paddy field, doesn't it? I enjoyed bnw version and I wonder if you exaggerate sharpness on seeds! Depth-of-field and composition are impressive. Have you also tried at twilight e.g. higher f + slower exposure? Take care of yourself and be safe. |

Both of you are right, but I like a bit the spots on the car:) Alternatively, could surely be cropped above the wheel. Thanks for your comment David. |

Thanks Haru. You're right, but I wanted to show him in a life, not to isolate -in a small frame- by cropping car, ground etc. |

An impressive geology like GC, but I couldn't decide which one is better; color or bnw! How deep is the canyon and is it allowed to walk, run and/or bike? Regarding settings, why did you prefer 1/320? |

Looks like a stone skipping! Great shot + edit Ying. Meanwhile, why wasn't pelican taking-off? Maybe she was not taking-off, but searching & catching fish. |

Cattedrale di San Pietro is a very sumptuous church which I had visited 20 years ago. With the current settings, it looks like sephia ie so warm. Dark gray cold monochrome could be more impressive to show the architecture style / details. Thanks for sharing Bill. |

How far were you from surfer? Have you also tried some other settings e.g. higher aperture, higher shutter speed and higher ISO? Watching surfers is definitely exciting, but it's a bit dangerous sport as the majority of shark attacks occur near the shore, in the surf zone. Well-done David. |

All the buildings are same in former Soviet satellite countries belonged to The Warsaw Pact. Today, EU member Poland is totally different and erasing traces of the previous lifestyle. Dark gray clouds plus mysterious houses are really impressive, but I just want to ask why you did not take the building entrances and street / garden / courtyard into frame! |
