Gary - First of all, the challenge is the climbing without falling off, I am usually doing that sort of thing.
I enjoy the image as is and yet I also understand the rational about the red lighthouse. If one decided that the lighthouse is screaming way to much, ok, what do you do? If you crop, where? then you have the problem of editing out some of the walkway to the lighthouse and the snow etc. Yes, one can do it and a bit of time, but anyone who knows of this place will scream FAKE! Then there is the ethics of that decision.
Let's face it, with the configuration of the subject there is limitations without going beyond our personal ethics of post processing.
I like th image just the way it is. |

Larry - I must say the moment I opened up your image the first thing I thought was Morro Rock in Morro Bay, California.
For me, the image is almost monochrome in the blues, cold and kind of a downer. And that is great if that is what you wanted to convey, I might have popped up the rock a bit towards the warmer tones as thee is some light on the rock, aafterall it is the subject.
Removing the people and fuzzy seagulls not an issue. |

Ian - I enjoy the pastel colors sets mood and very calm, tranquil. The trees break up the image and I think add to it as well as their reflections, otherwise the mood would be a bit overwhelming.
I might tweet the sky a bit and possibly after I did might go bask to what you have - very nice. OH, and a bother D850 shooter!!! |

Raymond - OOOOH yes, another Nikon D850 shooter. I like the B&W so much better than the color. The textures and tonal range is great, yet I think opening up the sky just a bit would be my preference. |

Butch - this is one that you make a mental print and hag it in the living room - as large as you can - outstanding!
I have a lighting trigger and it appears that when there are storms the storms fade away and I have yet to get a daytime image like yours. And what a downpour!
I agree with Ray to see more of the ground. Excellent. |

Sherry - WOW! I see you are using the Nikon Powerhouse D850 - heavy but built to last.
The sky is just outstanding and almost apocalyptic - The colors are so expressive. The balance between the water and the trees and then the sky is well done. Kudos on a great image. |

Ray - thank you for the input. There is always something that the photographer dies not appear to see and appreciate the input.

Allison - Lobe the bull and I envy you as mush as I would love to go to Africa - there is more than enough here in the Western USA.
I took the liberty and a few minutes to play with the image and here is what I did in Lightroom. made a mask on subject, adjusted the exposure, made added contrast and lightened shadows and adjusted highlights. Mask 2, for sky - adjusted exposure, mask 3 landscape contrast and texture.
Crop if you like
I like the image and crop or not the Bull is your subject and needed to stand out and yes, I envy you.

Stephanie - what a cute image!!!! There is interaction between the two subjects and you have good eye contact from both. Coloors are good and good move to bump up the saturation - it is not to much.
Cropping - I tend to agree, as the angle dies not support an environmental image, more of a portrait and you did a great job here. |

Janet - I find th image interesting and at first a bit confusing as I needed to look at it to see the direction of water flow. The mist does show the dynamics of the water as well as volume and I think I would have suggested a winder image to show the context of the water. Toned down the highlights and bring up the shadows and maybe tweet the contrast. The dynamics, force of the water flowing is wonderful. |

Ginny - cool shot and is just me or are most birds facing away (maybe it is me). You got one eye and I like the coloration of the BBWDuck. I will look it up so. I can hear the whistling.
I agree on the cropping and think it would add more to your image. Cool shot. |
