Gary - you got it all and not much more I could add to what has already been reviewed - BUT, as you might have guessed, me being a pano guy, I wonder what the image would have been like if there was more on the right and left?
The colors are great,, the layers are great, I just wonder what is on the right and left. |

Ian - what a view. 8 Hrs ugh. I can see tweeting the sky that would be nice. As far as the greens - not sure as I have seen places where the green is that green. New vegetation has a tendency to be that bright green as opposed to older vegetation a few weeks later.
I like the right foreground and it gives the image perspective - very nice. |

Dhananjay - Interesting shot - I have been to the falls once - road trip from California to NY and swung by - summer and it was very crowded - your image in the winter is very different from my one visit.
I tend to be a person who does not edit out much. Although Butch has done a good job, why not remove the trash cans and looks like tow other people one standing and one sitting on the park bench?
The shot is moody and I like that as the sun filters through the mist or fog - very nice |

Butch - DANG, you did it again - great shot. Going on trips as opposed to living there are often problematic - you just never know if it will come together and this trip just from this one shot - you nailed it.
Colors, exposure, composition and the fortune to top of the mesa - very cool. |

Sherry - Looks like rain is heading your way - very cool shot with the clouds - in fact I think they take a ok image and make it really something and you captured that here. I like the balance of the image and the color of red from the bushes - good shot. |

Stephanie - Welcome and great shot. Unfortunately, although I tend to not agree with flipping the image, Bob is correct as judges appear to not understand that a critter can go from right to left.
Your image is sharp, well exposed and a very nice shot - again welcome to the group. |

Marina - Wow, nice shot! I hope you were in a jeep of something to stay safe or are you like me and just go for it and hope for the best - ha ha.
I like the scar just off the right eye - he has defiantly had a few encounters as he has grown up.
Well exposed and good DOF as I have no issues with the DOF fading away and getting softer on his tosh. The lighting in the background is what it is - you took the shot and yes it would have been better if there were trees or something but the SUBJECT if great. |

Bob - Yes the tips of new leaves on California Poppies is a tint of red - very interesting and not everyone sees that. |

Stephanie, not a problem and appreciate the comment. As we get involved in our subject-
A macro lens has a very shallow depth of field. Around F8 is about the sharpest part of the lens that's why f8.
Should I have photo stacked? Possible as it would have given me more depth of field, but I didn't.
Welcome to the group and look forward to more comments |
