Sherry - The story is that I saw the potential on this image, and as I was setting up this couple walked right by me and was in the image for some 20 minutes. I had to keep moving the tripod to keep the sun behind the tree. Finally I said something to the couple and he got bestie and she made him move - I believe my intent was to have the base of the Joshua Tree in the image, but I should have recomposed to get it after the 20 minutes - detail, detail and detail. |

Gary - I then to go with Ian on the silkiness of the water, regardless the composition is well balanced and sharp and crisp image. I might have brought out the shadows a bit. I like that you shot it not face on but at the side as it gives more perspective - good shot. |

Peter - great shot - your balance and positioning excellent. I supposed you could have just waited for no-one to be in the image, but shooting it at 1/5 second is very clever. Yes odd numbers work better than even and the person on the left does not bother me. On the other hand if there was a third person walking up the stairs that might have made a stronger image. Anyway very nice and creative. |

Ian - thesis a cool image - Love the B&W. Very clever and your description of your travels wants me to see more.
I am not a fan of vignette - I know it is to draw attention to a part of the image - they just don't do it for me. I want to see more of your images - very cool. |

Dhananjay - I see the image vary similar to what Ian is saying - the daily - lonely quest for food and substance. True that fisherman may not see this as lonely and they may find solace, peace as they go out.
Anyway I think the image is a bit soft but you got a good story. |

Butch - So this is what I get to look forward to seeing this June - I am excited to see possibilities. The right part of the image there is a part of me that wants to see what is over there - I guess I need to wait till June - Great shot, clouds, serf and birds all help make this a great image. |

Dhananjay - HA! Yes they have that look - So interesting how critters can take on some human behaviors - makes one think that we may not be so unique as we think.
I wish the shadows were brought up a bit on the parakeets so show off their color a bit - The ring around the neck of the right one is very interesting - yes the look is cool. |

Bill - nice and sharp and the B&W is cool. How did you get so close? was this in the wild or a zoo, or wildlife park? What lens and camera did you use? What were the settings? Tripod or handheld? |

Marina - very stately image, dignified. The perch looks like a favorite spot - was this taken in the wild?
Image is crisp, sharp and well exposed - very nice. |

Bob, I guess you did not get the notice that this month was birds- just kidding. Lovely image and the colors are great. Image looks sharp, but I think I would not have cropped it so tight. Wish there was a description - lens, camera and settings - tripod, studio shot? Lighting etc. |
