Ian, the observation was not a criticism, just an observation which I though was cool. If that was due to a collapse of the wall, I probably displaces a lot of water. Now that would have been historic! |

Sherry - Thank you for the feedback - I am not sure about East Coast weather but on the West Coast our weather is dominated by a high pressure cell. OK so that means basically clear skies, every day, every week - for weeks and when we get some clouds it is OMG time.
I think they add to the vastness of the image and I like them as they are wispy as opposed to a round chunk of a cloud. |

Gary - I really like this image and tend to agree that the ice is a bit much - dramatic sky and snow appears to be well exposed - a lot of texture and the lighting is very nice - good job. |

Peter - Way cool. the White Pelicans of the Tetons And Yellowstone are fun to watch. I will be there this May.
The pelican is in the bottom third - I could go either way and if I did crop it would be on the left a bit. Like the softness of the background very nice. |

Ian - OH a wilderness shot and giving the image perspective - I like it. Just an interesting note - it appears the edge of the cliff is rather sharp - meaning that it looks as if there was a break in the not so distance past - yes it may have been a few thousands of years ago but in contrast to the other mountains it is very interesting.
I like the boat and that it is coming straight on - small as to show the immensity of the area - very cool. |

Dhananjay - interesting shot - I like the BW as it adds dramatic composition. I think I would crop the top a bit OR maybe the bottom to take the center a bit off center. The Cormorants - they are very cool birds - not flashy - we have them her is Southern California - cool.
How is lugging that 400 around? |

Butch - very nice image and I have used the rule of 400, 500 and just winged it - to get better depth I have done photo stacking as well.
I must admit that the lighting in your image, although interesting, not doing much for me. lighting painting is an art and is challenging - Dave Black is a great source for lighting painting. Maybe if you cropped the image on both sides and making it a vertical as must of the subjects are vertical would look better? Anyway, just my 2.37 cents worth. |

Sherry - very nice and great colorful sunset and the sailboat adds to the image very well -
Yes, sunsets as well as sunrises are not necessarily cooperative and yet, it is alll about just being out there! Very nice shot. |

Dhananjay - very interesting image - starkness of the image is amazing. Cormorants are cool and we have them where I live - in fact they may be everywhere - well not everywhere but almost.
I like the B&W and only wish the entire image was cropped a bit more.
How do you like lugging the 400 around? |

Marina - great shot. More interesting than just a bird on a stick well exposed and just very nice. |

Andrea - Welcome to the group. Very nice image and I like the light fog, the colors and that you focused stacked - very good. A personal preference and no I was not there so I do not know but I might have included a bit more of the top of the mountain as opposed to being so close to the edge. Otherwise it is a keeper. |
