Peter - yes but there were a lot of distractions on either side and I wanted to focus on the water and glass with the dry lakebed and the possibility of rain. So set up tripod about 12 to 14 inches off ground then placed water glass and pitcher shot at I believe f16
20 min later it was raining hard and had to use 4x4 to get off lakebed |

Peter - I guess you and I have environmental shots this month, cool. I like the way the sun's light streaks across the water and the woman and dog add to the composition. In fact without them it would be almost another sunset shot - good catch. |

As with Sherry I enjoy the water and you nailed this one. The water is not to soft or to frozen - I think as Goldilocks would say, Just Right.
I wonder how a pano might do - picking up some of the left of the image. Next time I have a chance to do a dreamy water shot I will try it and see if it works.
Very nice shot |

Dhananjay - Great image - I have driven highway 1 so many times and can never get enough as it is alway changing with the light, clouds etc. I agree with Ian cars - what ever. Only issue is a bit of vignetting in the 4 corners - maybe crop a bit |

Tom - great position and symmetry of the arch - and the added bonus is no one in the photo - how did you do that? Very cool. |

Sherry - Nice and tranquil, relaxing - love the colors of the clouds and the cat adds to the composition. On the far right, is that a great white? |

Thank you Michelle. Early spring time in May the grass is nice and green and the red dogs still have their color.

True shutter speed and iso high, but I was just shooting flying white pelicans and the d850 can handle it with low noise |
