Debbie - OMG!!!! I think this is the best image you have done - this is fantastic. The colors are outstanding and I can see this on a wall. I might open up the shadows just maybe 5 points and cropped out the foreground fence - otherwise a stunning image. Clone out the very right windmill. |

I like the vertical aspect - draws your eye the length of the image and a capture of tranquility - You say that you have visited this spot several times - this is a wow image with the low clouds - mist. I might have given the sky a bit more pop just to see how that might have changes the overall image.

Dhananjay - great perspective - It amazes me that way back that people could have ever built such a structure on the mountain top and then to fast forward it to today and put it into perspective - old and new, very cool. I am sure there was not the air pollution back in the day and you provide a good layered story here - are we really better off now then we were back then???? I would have liked to have seen a 3 shot pano - just to give more prospective - good job here. |

Love Arches NP - I was there three years ago in March and it was cold and wendy and then in one day the temp jumped maybe 20 degrees and was so nice.
Anyway, I like the cropped version and can see this image on a metal print hanging in the living room - snow capped mountains and the rocks in the middle ground - very nice. |

Sherry - great story. Timing of the image well done - I could go either way with the editing as I like them both. I might have brought out more of the colors in the sky a bit more.
I think the image sets a tone - nicely done |

Not sure I can adequately give you a height probably some where from 127.479 feet and 129.00. Ok ok not sure, but one thing is I had to keep hiking up the hill, mountain to get the sun what I thought was a cool position.
From ground level there was no way to get the clouds in the image so basically had to scramble up. One always ask them selves if the extra effort is worth it, this one I think it was so I am probably 1/100,000 |

Leslie - Good action and Wonderfull colors on the wings. Yes on my screen the whits are a bit as well - interesting.
You might try reducing the noise a little - great focus from the tip of the front wing to the back of the other wing - nice. |

I agree with the shutter speed, and yes they were not moving that fast to justify, on the other hand They did just fly into the lake on the right and I did get a few shots with them flying in in-between the trees. I do not think the high shutter speed hurt the image at all and the noise in minimal.
I reduced the shadows specifically to get this type of image in the background.
Being in amongst the edge of the lake where there were a lot of trees and brush I would have loved to had the two heads separated a bit, unfortunately for me I have several shots where there is tree trunk or branches of brush that totally makes the image worthless and this was the best I got and I know it could have been better.
Anyway with all the challenges of shooting in and amongst all the brush and trees I thought that the images showed some intimacy |
