Cool - A friend bought a fisheye lens - he had fun with it for a few weeks, ok maybe a month and a half and it now sits on the shelf - but it was only about $400+ so. - not sure his wife remembers he bought it but at the time he really NEEDED it. Ha Ha |

Very cool. I like how the plane is in position with the background wispy clouds and you can see the stars. I might suggest to bring out the shadows a bit to give the plane a bit more visibility - just a little. Not knowing where one can walk where you are, I might have walked a bit to the right to take out the tree.
Can you go up to the plane? If so maybe placing three very small light on the three wheels lighten up - might be cool??? Anyway my creative thoughts - I think the shot is far better with the wispy clouds that with a clear sky. |

Wow look at the layers and lines - very nice. A nice pleasing shot and the barn gives the image a sense or place. Although you use a 70-300 I agree that a wide angle would have pushed the barn out so far that it would have lost that sense of place. I think I might have taken the color of the field with a bit more luminosity just to see if it would give a bit more depth.
Nice pleasing image. |

Your a brave man for getting up so early - ugh. Yes I have done the same as probably all of us on many occasions - ugh.
I like the formatting of the image and yes everyone has commented about the leading lines - cool. I think the color of the water (freezing water) helps make the image with the leading lines. Another thought would have been would be to take two shots - the second a few minutes later to give the sky a bit more light and not moving the camera and been a sunrise shot with the first. Just a thought. Would have been another layer to the challenge. |

Good to see you here.
The moment I open up the image my eyes went right down the canal - way cool. Yes my eye started looking around but the water flowing over the lock is the photo. I see that there is some structure at the top right and am interested in knowing if that could have been a part of the image or not. If this gives you an excuse or justification to go and buy a 10 or 14mm lens, never enough lenses!!!!.
I like the symmetry and the stairs on either side - cool shot and tells a story. |

Tom - how I love the Tetons - I will be there this May for 10 days.
First of all I am not sure anyone can take a bad photo of the Grand and I like the way the bank of the river goes horizontal and then down and across. I think the clouds are a bit flat and I like the B&W a lot but I think if you could have waited, got out you're lounge chair and had something warm to drink and just hung out the sunset would have been spectacular. Otherwise you have a nice capture |

The color of the leaves is great.
As far as the boat - honestly it could go either way - part of me says you should have waited and another part says with the background with the homes it fits. I think the could have been a bit more room at the top of the image but otherwise a very nice image. |

Very cool shot - like the profile and nice and sharp. Did you have some challenges getting closer? Nice and soft background with the macro. What was your shutter speed? |

Very cute.
What shutter speed, aperture, ISO did you use? Was the shot hand held? Camera, Lens? Anything more you can share about the image? |
