Debbie - OOOOOH a pano - good job!
I like the curvature of the water giving depth to the image and colors are wonderful.
Since I do a lot of panos I have found that if I take a shot of my hand with on finger then I know that is the beginning of my shots and when I finish I take a shot of my hand with two fingers. That way I know the sequence when I upload my images. I also shoot vertically and use a tripod with a pano set up.
Well hope that helps with some technique - The image is great and I could see it hanging over the head of your bed. |

Yes iconic and that you were there is very cool. I have photo of Morro Rock in Morro Bay, CA, a sunset shot and it was just ok until a dragon boat (Brest Cancer Survivors) were paddling across. It made the shot and so bottom line your timing was great.
Nice. |

Janos,
I like that there are clouds and that the sun is hitting the high peaks. The greens are intense and something I would figure in this kind of environment.
I tend to go with a pano and for this setting and if I was there I might have done one to give more breath to the image. Just my two cents worth.

Very nice image - I could see this printed and on a wall. The red roof makes things opposed and enjoy the foreground - and yes the bird adds to the image. |

Stellar image! Reflected clouds clear and did not loose much if any detail, even the little pole on top of the building in in the reflection - Very nice. |

It was a while ago but I usually try to use the sharpest part of the lens and generally from what I have been told f2.8 is not, so I stop down to f 8 or 9 and if there is foreground I use hyperfocal distance and shoot f16.
Lately for close foreground to infinity I have done 3 -5 shots and different focus points and stacking the images. Works well |
