I thought it was with an ultra wide lens - not sure it can be "fixed" but maybe some adjustment. I have the same issue with my 14-24 at the 14-18 or so range. I started to do panos with my 24-70 and getting really good results. In fact I almost prefer panos 1:2 or 1:3 over the traditional 8x10 11x14 etc formats.
Have fun and it is a great shot |

I agree I would go with the vertical or "original." The reason for me is that the road keeps moving more in the vertical from below entering the image and goes towards the top - my eye wants to keep going to see what is next. Great shot I really enjoy the original .
The sky I might add some contrast and or use the ND filter in Lightroom to make it pop a bit more. |

Baker Beach and the Golden Gate Bridge - I have family just north of that area and been there many times.
I might have cropped the bottom a bit but otherwise the fog and mist are very nice with the backdrop of the GGB. Nice. |

Very nice and great shot - the whole in the clouds add a lot to the image. I think opening up the shadows just a tad in the rocks would be nice, but the clouds are so dynamic - powerful I am not sure I would crop them a bit. In fact if you cropped the top I might not have done so giving you more dynamic clouds and move the horizon a bit more off center. Wonderfull shot. |

Awesome shot and love the detail and color. As Sherri commented she is living in 85 degree weather so I know you did not just go out in shorts and a t-shirt. It takes a lot to get prepared for when you'r dealing with such old weather - good job.
One question - I know (because I have been told my self) that my horizon line is not straight even when the background land is curving. It appears that your horizon line is not straight or is that just me? Otherwise an awesome shot. |

Cool shot and yes I believe the moon what there, but it does look a bit larger than normal. There is no way that you could have gotten all that in one shot for the movement of the moon.
The movement of the cars lights is cool and the sharpness of the buildings all the while keeping the exposure under control. Very nice.
Oh I did a shot of the moon one time and I added a Klingon Bird of Prey at the top right - turned out nice. |

I enjoy this image and that's the great thing about going out in nature - you just not sure who the lighting will work out. Good creativity so using a long exposure. I think the tops of the waves give softness and yet show the movement.
The clouds are dynamic and I think I can see rain from them - very nice shot |

Well everyone - So I have been reading the comments and so I am going to submit some images. I guess what challenges me is the clouds - that there not as dynamic as I would like so that is why I desaturated the sky. Anyway here is the original and a B&W |

This is a cute shot and you can see the details of the feathers. Interesting pose as the two legs are standing on separate rocks. I might has shot it at f5.6 to give more depth to the chick. Good lighting. I might crop on the right quite a bit to where the top of the rock takes the notch downword and top just a bit.
Very nice image. |

Nice shot the Hornbill looks sharp and your crop from the original helps a lot. The background is not helping and id distracting - much like my Raven shot a while back, but I understand completely that your going to take the photograph regardless - so good for you. |

WOW! the yellow of the bird just captures my eye. You are so fortunate to be able to go to Coast Rica - the opportunities - great shot and the color of the bird is striking. Was this hand held? |

Talk about attitude - very nice shot. I have no idea if the head feathers are naturally that way but as living on the west coast we do not get to see this kind of birds. You got the reflection in the water that is good. I go back and forth on this - there is a part of me that wishes his head was turned a bit more to his right showing only one eye and giving him more of a profile and yet I think the shot is good the way it is.
Nice and sharp image. Did you hand hold the camera? |
