Thank you. As much as this is difficult to see, I remember being in Yellowstone in (I think 98) during the devistating fires. I can only wish I could have been back the next two springs summer. The wildflowers were like nothing anyone could ever remember |

Very nice image and I like having the fisherman in the image showing prospective. The colors of the trees stand out nicely and appreciate your desire to go back and try again after the foggy shot.
I might try cropping the top off a bit to cut out some of the sky in the top right - my eye has a tendency to go over to the bright spot.
Very nice |

First of all I am envious, Crater Lake is on my list of places to go and in the winter. Great pano and the clouds just make the image. I would have a print on my wall. |

Very nice sunset and the color with the clouds is awesome. So you might have gotten the two images mixed up - that's ok no biggie. I wish the foreground was brighter and showed more detail.
I like how the sunlight is catching some of the water. Maybe crop on the right to move the sunset over a bit.
Nice shot |

Love the expanse and the color of the sand is so cool - Agree about the truck it would have been nice to be further right. |

Wow nice image and the sunset sets it off but you were able to capture the foreground so well. Great shot |

It would be nice but the foothills of our mountains are fairly drab. Definitely not like the Sierras or the Tetons. |

Thank you all. I know it's not a stellar image and the minutes I crack the slider he flys off. But maybe he will eventually get a bit more comfortable around the bird bath. |

Your correct our group is nature +. I thought it included the hand of man, like fence post or mailbox etc. so for the towers on the ridge leaving them there is ok.
Not sure that includes putting in a sky, but I will check. Again it is a nice sky and adds a lot to the image. |

Very nice shot of the fledgling tern. Sharp and as he is standing on the 2 rocks.
If you could have been a few inches higher you might have been able to miss the foreground rock. And crop it a bit at the top. Nice shot. |

I enjoy this image and really like the rock in the foreground.
I understand when there are no clouds in the sky and have been there when the vary same situation. And your correct without the clouds the image is kinda flat. Call me a purist or old, but for me when it comes to landscape and wildlife photography I do not take away or add major components in the image. Sorry it is kind a thing with me - long story and I can elaborate if you would like (Outdoor Photography magazine Volume 36 #3, page 24 - George Lepp). In his opening opening paragraph he was quoting a conservation he and I had. I must complement the software the shadows on the rock appear to have the sun above and behind and the clouds appear to have the same shadow type - I see that there are some towers on the ridge on the right side - those I would have taken out as they are not a major component of the image. I agree with Gary, if you could have moved a bit to the left, but that would have only made more of the foreground present.

Nice shot great composition and I bet you had a great time staying up all night. I wish I could have been there as well.
A few concerns. The hoodoos appear to have a ghost around them, that is usually a sign of over sharpening and that is what is causing the ghost. Another concern is the color of the Milky Way looks blue green. I know this may be a makers choice on the artistic component of the image, but for me it does not look quite correct.
I enjoy Milky Way shots with a strong foreground and you did a great job with that. The stars are nice pinpoints and your exposure was right on. |

Very nice detail in wings though the beak and nice catchlight in the eye.
I feel it is cramped as well and not knowing where the cropping was it would have been nice for some more distance at the top and bottom. Maybe f5.6 would have been a bit bette.
Do you know what kind of woodpecker it is? |

Very cool shot, sharp and great detail. You might suggest that he turn more towards you - As you suggested communication. I like how the wings are out and the his tongue is out. Otherwise you nailed this one. Good job! |

Like lizards they are fun to capture - and I like the shot with the background, but I agree with Gary a higher f-stop wold have been nice. On the other hand, the fact that you saw the potential of the grasshopper in the background does Len to the story, very nice. I think the foreground rock being so out of focus is a distraction and to bad you could not have either moved a bit or remove the rock before taking the shot. I also think the witness of the lizard is a but hot. |

Thank you, I though of asking him to hang around and it is a great idea, not so sure he wanted to be that cooperative. I knew the brightness of the background was distracting, but I was so happy just to get his photo.
Next time I will ask him - will let you know how it goes. |
