Great detail in the mill and yet you were able to keep the shadows from turning black - nice. The branches that drop from top center are distracting and I might have gotten closer to the water and under the branches keeping the bridge. |

Lovely image and I can see that the rolling hills are a hit. Nice job. |

For a quick photo op it turned out great and very creative. The rays of the sun are powerful. My eye goes to the sign at the bottom left and I probably would take that out - nice creative shot. |

Janos - well I agree on the sunburst very nice. Nice and solid foreground. I might have cropped the top just a tad. |

Stunning shot - love the texture - drama of the clouds and the sunset is superb. Yes a print on aluminum it will look so much better than a paper print. |

Sherry - Not sure about the 5.6 - that was what was on the meta data and your right that would typically be at f22 or something but can't imagine taking the shot at 22 when it would have made the image a bit soft and I really didn't need the DOF. Anyway it was in the film days - my wife loves the print. |

I took a different look at your image and cropped out much of the left and turned it into a vertical. I gave more contrast to the clouds and as well as using the ND filter in Lightroom. Brought out the shadows in the forest.
I was just trying to look at the image differently. Hope it was ok. |

Thank you - I would probably increase the exposure on his black head maybe 1/8 of a stop. |

Looks like a real cool place for birds. We have basically nothing like this in Southern California and must travel to central and northern Calif. to get any wetlands like this. Envy.
I like how the grasses are turning green and that there is a lot to texture. Based upon the texture of the water it is either moving or the wind is blowing - not sure buh shutter speed has frozen The water and any possible movement of the trees it the wind is blowing.
You you do not say that you were suing a tripod - if you want lower you could do a two point shot and focus stacked to get greater DOF.
My eyes keep going to the blind as the subject and having a challenging time.
I like how you brought out the color of the grass. Nice landscape |

OK I will not repeat with the others have said. I like the back lighting and how the light brings out the details within the wing feathers - nice.
So question - was the gull being fed something to get the response?
I agree that you might have been to close and need to get lower to the ground.
Good nature shot of the sea gull. |

Glenn - Great shot. I like the B&W and the texture of the tree - way cool. I might have taken a step top the left or gotten closer to include more of the bottom right of the butt and maybe adjust a bit more contrast. Looking at the photo again and seeing your using a 24 mm the only way would to try to move to the left a tad otherwise you would cut off the bottom of the tree at the base. Silver effects pro should've helped with the clouds or photoshop.
Some might say that the shot is not horizontal and it may not be because I know that the the ground is sloping but you might check the verticalness by tilting it a bit to the left. Nice detail in the bark of the tree and adds character. Again love the B&W. |

Ok, you know the log should be out. Great shot of the water you nailed the texture and exposure. aJust one other possibility could you have gotten lower to the ground to take the shot? Also if you go low, might it have been possible to take a step to the left so the water is exiting the image more to your right? I was not there but something to think about. Make a Aluminum print you might like it. |

Great shot and I agree about not including the tourist. Not sure what the person adds to the image and yet it would have been so easy to side step and take a second shot.
Aside from that either crop the top of the image a bit and break up the horizon line a bit |
