This is great and the colors are wonderful. No dark shadows - very nice. I will tend to go with cropping the tree on the left. I was there last January but several weeks after the Christmas snow storm so wasn't able to get that snow on the canyon - but all that means is I need to go again.

It must have been a hoot to be walking on a glacier with crampons - had a few experiences in Alaska and the Sierras on glaciers and ice - a different kind of walking.
I like how the image goes up towards the left and it is way cool. Not sure there is enough tonality to make a B&W that wold work but fun to try. I might crop the top a tad to take out the cloud in the center top and the bright part top left.
What a great shot to show the expanse |

Really enjoy the B&W. You and I love those clouds and such wilderness. I/we can tell that this is a frozen land and lake is frozen but it is dead center and my eyes try to look around and are brought back to the white lake. I know there is no detail in the lake but maybe crop a bit more off the top or the bottom. Since you have no strong foreground maybe the bottom. Just my 2 cents |

David, Awesome shot and the noise does not bother me - and no I don't use Topaz. The moon is not what I would like and maybe two shots one of the moon and one without and blend. Very nice night shot

Sherry -
Love the colors and the detail of the clouds - great. Sorry I am running a little late - but it appears some of the discussion is on ND filters. Yes they are a pain and can slow you down, but I use them and I think they are great.
Just two things that pop out to me - the palm trees are a tad dark and the lower right is a tad bright. OK maybe not a tad bright. The color reflecting on the water is way cool and the color on the rocks is great. Lovely shot. |

I completely understand the horizon line is off. The camera is level and that's the slope of the landscape. I went back and forth on this and decided to keep it true to Death Valley as the alluvial fan drainage slopes to the valley.
Monochrome might try it. Your correct not a lot of color. |

The colors just are great and great capture of the orchids. Not sure that you need that much trunk of the tree. Might crop a bit on the left. |

Allan - I agree with Glenn soft and the shadows need to be brought out. Shame they were not swimming towards you. Ducklings are cute. |

Cool shot and like the image. I completely understand that when shooting wildlife most of the time the wildlife doesn't cooperate with what you may want. The twig on the right is distracting and I know some would say take it out, I would not. Yes the argument of what one can do is all about ethics and I choose not to. Instead, what a perfect excuse to go out again and enjoy the time. |
