Keith says what I might say. Higher ISOs are much better in the newer cameras so you could try f8 or even 11 and get the depth you were looking for on this one. Flash works, too, providing light so you can use a smaller aperture - but it will scare your bug-friend...no second chances |

A lesson in diagonals, leading lines, repetition, and capturing a great scene. Wow. One thought is that some clouds in the sky might reduce its blankness. |

so much emotional content and a great story. This is a great expression of what Olympic level competition is like. I am going to have to look at that lens. Nicely done. |

I saw this and said "impressionist painter". What a lovely impressionist photograph. Really good stuff. Claude Monet would like this very much.

I believe "storytelling" images are the core of so much of photography. This is one of those. I agree that your words are essential to understand the story. I offer the suggestion that the clouds be darkened to communicate more about the passing storm. |
