I love this image. At first it was "nice", but when I saw the people it became really powerful...much more than "nice". l do agree with Keith. the bright clouds become a distracting "hot spot". Burn them down or, if there is no detail, try cloning the clouds from the left side.
But the two people walking really make this photo. I might dodge them just a bit to "pop" them out so their impact is more easily noticed. The mountain softness might be reduced with clarity and contrast, but only in those misty spots on the mountains....even a touch of saturation? |

Nice shot. Storytelling type of image. I can't decide if the mystery of what is on the dock that has everyone looking is needed to fulfill the story or if the mystery is better. As powerful as the strong yellow of the lead kayak I think I would want more space ahead of it so it has someplace to "go". I like the fog and the background. It gives a nice sense of "place" and environment. The faces of the people are dark and I wonder if opening the shadows a bit might add some "people" interest to this. I am nitpicking, nice capture. |

Powerful commentary. I find the baby stroller in this has a lot of emotional impact for it implies that there is a baby being raised in this situation. Composition is good, reflection is a nice addition, everything is sharp. I wonder if this can be captured at sunset where the shadows and lighting might deepen the impact. This is a very had problem to solve and every city in America has something like this going on. Sad. |
