I find I like the original orientation better. The flipped image implies movement while the original does not...and my totally subjective reaction to the image is more about a bus whose time has passed.

I hope I selected the "right" photo of the two you sent. If not, I can repost the other one. |

I am so low tech that I don't even understand the conversation...but I am so taken by this image that I don't care how you got there, it is wonderful. The implied joy and story, and the color and composition are just right. Nice work |

I am with my colleagues here. Not only do you take wonderful images, you add context and history that bring them to life...I love the lessons! I could only post one image so the choice I made was the one with the yellow buildings shown larger since the "story" seemed to me to be strongly oriented toward the Sikh community that occupies them in this isolated outpost. |

There is an old adage for how to capture a moment..."f8 and be there". The trade off from your f4 setting is slower shutter speeds OR, and I think a better choice with today's excellent camera, is to let the ISO rise so that you do not lose the shutter speed need to freeze the bird's quick motions.
Regardless, I think this is a marvelous image.

I like this picture of the "disappearing bus". It evokes a lot of different ideas in me about that bus, its history, and how it got there. The layers in the photo (grass, bus/tree, field, sky/clouds) really set this off as a well composed and thought out photo of a subject my eye keeps going back to and exploring. I love old rusty things! |
