Laurie, I like what Gregory did with your photo. The reasoning is that I find the rocks distracting, as are the large expanse of bald sky, and the light colored tree. The cropping answers for me "what is this picture about". I like the cropped answer. And, because of the strong back lighting increased saturation would punch up the yellows nicely. |

Want to be there. Wow, perfect composition, great combination of soft focus and sharpness. The chairs are the picture in that they pull the viewer into the scene and. like me, wanting to be there. Really nice job. |

I spent some years living in New Orleans across from Audubon Park. This photo reminds me very much of Audubon's pictures for which he is well known and famous. This is just lovely, painterly and yet there are the details of real life. The background frames the birds beautifully. This photo might be (should be) accepted by the Audubon magazine.

I love this. I think I agree with Laurie that cropping on the right would be good. The winding road leads out of the picture and the small structure does seem connected to the rest of the photo...although I suspect the road and structure are connected. Anyway, that is my thought about the crop. The light and monastery-vs-village is just wonderful. Your pictures are great storytellers. I love your work |
