The image is taken with the Sweet 50. Curiously, Kathleen Clemons criticized it because the petals closer to you are out of focus. In a Lensbaby shot with the Sweet 50, I would think you want everything but the center in focus. |

Great image. I like the falling downhill feeling. I think it boring otherwise. |

Great flower. I agree that the fower merges too much with the background. How's this? I just selected the background in LR & lightened it. |

Eventually, I probably will take another Critique Circle. However, I just can not face having all that work so soon. I need a breather. |

What do you mean by an inverted radial gradient? I use an inverted gradient to darken everything but the center, which makes it stand out more. Is that what you mean? |

I used to think more like that. After three Kathleen Clemons classes, if what is closer to me is out of focus, that's usually disturbing. Getting everything in focus to the center & then going soft is fine with me now. Focus stacking might have made the rose too harsh. |

Great image. I agree with Nadia -- don't crop the outer areas, just tone them down. Probably you could brighten the green. |

Great flower. Be sure to take some shots stopped down more so you have some to choose with more in focus. |

Great flowers & editing. The lens is an f/4 lens; surely you stopped down for this. |

Great flower. With Generative Fill in PS, you could probably turn the upper let corder green. I would also eliminate bright green at the bottom & darken all greens. |

Nice shot. I prefer my crop -- it eliminates the distractions and, I think, is a better angle for the flower. |
