10 Apr 23 Comment I agree that the image seems cut in half. But I rather like having alot to look at. A friend of mine (who won an Emmy with his photography) thinks that too often we pare down images. He likes to think that if a picture were hanging on his walls, he would like to have more to look at -- to find more things in the photo. Apr 19th
10 Apr 23 Comment Nice shot. I would make the sky a little more dramatic. Apr 19th
10 Apr 23 Comment The image is alot of fun. I'm not sure if I like the black holes of the trees. And I think I would like to see more water. Apr 19th
10 Apr 23 Comment Love it! Apr 19th
10 Apr 23 Comment I love the flower. The colors for my taste are over saturated; I don't think any flower would have those colors. Also, I would desaturate the background -- for me, it competes with the flower. Is the Lensbaby Double Glass II much better than the original? Apr 19th
10 Apr 23 Comment I love the stem just as it is. The shape for me does not distract, but adds to the image, balancing the flower & directing attention to it. The yellow in the flower gives the impression of being blown. Otherwise,I think the painting is very successful. Apr 19th
10 Apr 23 Comment With one shot, you could not have gotten the detail in the orange and especially the center, and have the outer petals way out of focus. Stacking at f/4 allows me to do that -- I just stop stacking & everything further away gets soft.
Stack of 27? -- I slowed down the stacking quite a bit when I got to the center. In the past, I kept the same distance between shots & the center was out of focus.

80 Apr 23 Reply This is better. I would clone out the white between the stamen (or whatever). Apr 26th
80 Apr 23 Comment Great shot. I agree that it would be better if the petals were cropped / cloned out. Apr 26th
80 Apr 23 Comment For me, the out of focus flowers do bother me since they are the closest thing to the lens. The bee would stand out better if light colors were behind it. The color adjustments for the background are very successful. Apr 26th
80 Apr 23 Comment The flowers are beautiful. I, too would like to see one flower better in focus. Also, if you had moved a little bit, could the background have been more uniformly green? Apr 26th
80 Apr 23 Comment Beautiful flower. I think the petals overwhelm the center. The center is more the subject in a crop like this. However, it does looks over processed when enlarging the center. Apr 26th
80 Apr 23 Comment I like this as a B&W, but it is dull. Just increasing the exposure and/or whites might do wonders for it. The center should be the brightest. Apr 20th
80 Apr 23 Comment Great image. I would crop alot off the left, less off the right (so it's not in the center) & a bit off the top & bottom. Apr 20th
