Beautiful. I would sharpen the center edges selectively, and, yes, brighten the flower -- but only a little. |

Nice capture. It does disturb me that the top is cut off. One solution is to cut everything else, too. I also selected the middle, duplicated & inverted, brought down exposure while increasing overall exposure with the + key, & increased whites. |

Very interesting. I would crop up a bit from the bottom. You really don't know what's going on. He looks curiously motionless -- suspended. |

I love the image in any of the variations. The only thing I have to suggest is that the cloned stem is too thick -- the bottom is thicker than the top. |

It's always interesting to see an image from a different perspective. I should do that more often. In this case, I think having the stem in the lower right leads one out of the picture, as one reads from left to right. |

I showed this at a competition this month. The judge (who was really good for a change) thought that the stem led him out of the image. I tried it with a shorter stem, but don't like it. I think the stem leads one into the image. What do you think? |

I took this though steps recommended by a friend. Photoshop, Gausian Blur (30%), Multiply blend mode (then I lightened it a little), paint in sharpness with a 3% flow brush. Then, just a little playing in Lightroom. I like the result! |

Fabulous. Love it. Do you know of any good tutorials on adding textures? My Photoshop skills are somewhat minimal. On closer look, it may be slightly back focused. The green may be the sharpest thing in the image. Blur the greens just a little? |

Even though it is not faithful to the original, I rather like your submitted image. It has a very moody effect. I think bringing out the white lines would be good. Maybe just select them, desaturate, bring increase the white slider. |

For me, for the image to work there should be more difference in color values & intensity between subject & background. I took the image into LR, and here is a perhaps rather gross version, but there is a clear difference. Something in between? |

Usually, I have to take the resulting Glow image through Topaz AI Sharpen. I forget if I had to do that with the hosta leaf. Also -- Do you have the original Topaz Studio? I'm using Glow from that. Curiously, not all options export well from the Topaz Studio Glow back into either PS or LR. Pitty. There are some great transformations that I would have loved to be able to capture. |
