10 Nov 20 Comment I recently watched a webinar by Stephen Johnson -- Capturing the Beauty of the Real World. He does not like landscapes with too much contrast, sharpening, etc. Makes one disappointed in seeing the actual Grand Canyon & end up buying a post card. However beautiful this scene, I would prefer it to look more realistic, less processed. Nov 23rd
10 Nov 20 Reply What is hyperfocal focusing? I've read about it, & never understood. Where can I find a simple explanation? Nov 23rd
10 Nov 20 Comment To offer a different point of view. I prefer the background being more contrasty. To me, the flower merges with the background here. Makes it hard for me to look at the beautiful flower. Nov 23rd
10 Nov 20 Comment Nice capture. Another possibility: to have waited till the ship left the scene. There's enough interest without the ship. Nov 23rd
10 Nov 20 Comment Nice shot. Did you try to eye dropper to get the white balance? The yellow HSL Luminence to brighten the yellow? Nov 23rd

10 Nov 20 Comment Nice capture (so to speak). He could stand out more from his backbround. Eyes could be a little brighter. What do you think of this? Nov 23rd
